ランチ。15周年記念特別コース。
前菜・パスタ2種類ありメインの牛ホホ肉の煮込も、とってもボリュームありました。
美味しかったけど、パスタは各々量が少なくても良かったかな？
お庭や店内、雰囲気とてもいい感じでした。

Azekura is an Ancient Log Store House. It is a structure made of a giant wooden beams of a 300-year-old sake warehouse. Opened in 1967, it is well known in Kyoto. The building was brought here from nearby Nara by a kimono merchant a generation ago. この1967年にオープンした建物は一世代前に近くの奈良から着物の商人によって京都に持ち込まれました。

　It is said that there are very few farmhouses in the city, but the few that have been moved to Kyoto feature cavernous interiors held by thick pillars and beams. 京都へ移された少ない数の伝統的な農家は分厚い柱や横柱で支えられている奥行きのある内装に作られています。

The logs used to construct this one-room store house Azekura main building are cut into a triangular shape. この建物を建てるのに切られた木は角形の形に切られています　　The logs join at the corners, meaning there are no corner posts in this store house. The store house would hold important shrine artifacts, and is located well away from other shrine buildings to help keep it safe from fire.

My personal story ) : I was first invited to Azekura by my old-time class mate of elementary school. He was a son of their late owner Ichida's. I was quite impressed to see the architecture of this place as a small child. They used to use this place as a place to hold galleries for art works by local youth and I was once selected as a prize winner. Now they rent out their space of an Italian restaurant for holding a large ceremonies, social functions and musical concerts etc. I often take tourists or visitors from overseaa to this place to take some nice photos in its beautiful garden. You can go up the stairs to command a nice view of Kyoto city from its observation point. You will come by a small bamboo forest and some small jizo statues on your way up. These staff members will kindly welcome you into the Ancient Log Store house and offer you a free guided tour inside. This might be a great choice for a foreign artists to perform in a unique atmosphere that you can never find anywhere else. The place is usually used as a revenue to hold a wedding ceremony so the capacity is large enough to hold more than 100 people with tables.

上賀茂神社の後、式を挙げさせて頂きました。
スタッフの皆さんの対応、料理、環境共に非常に良かったです。
京都の北の北ということもあり立地は少し難ありでしたが、送迎バスの手配もできるので、思い切ってこちらにお願いしました。

とても素敵な結婚式になりました。
以前身内が結婚したときに、京都上賀茂で挙式をしました。
友人からこちらのブライダルフェアの話を聞いて、
早速薦めてみました。
本人たちも気に入ったらしく、こちらで結婚式をすることに。
結婚式の準備は色々と大変だったみたいですが、
スタッフの方々のご協力で、なんとか結婚式にこぎつけました。
当日は素敵な会場、美味しいお料理、進行、お手伝い等、
大変お世話になりました。
おかげで皆さんによかったね、と言っていただける結婚式になりました。

和と洋の織りなす魅力を存分に味わう事ができるブライダルを提供するこちらの建物は昭和４３年から続いている老舗と言っても過言ではない京都市では歴史ある結婚式場だと思います。個人的には何度か行った事がありますが、ここの雰囲気は別世界に居るような感じです。お料理も非常に印象的で、思い出に残る会を開きたいのであれば、ここはしっかり検討要因に盛り込む必要があると思います。但し、人気の式場なので、予約はお早めにした方がよいでしょう。
