LIED ABOUT THE PRICE
I went to get botox to block sweat. In my first visit they said it would cost ¥110,000 (inc. tax) (which is expensive), but they said they had a repeater discount of 50% for the 2nd visit onwards, so it would be ¥55,000 the next time.
I went for my repeat visit a few months later and they showed ¥110,000 on the calculator. As I handed my card over, I asked, "wait, is there a mistake?".
The receptionist said that because the surface area was large they couldn't give a discount.
I then saw the practitioner who told me of the repeater discount and the person who performed the procedure scurry away down the hall.
I reminded the receptionist that I was told there would be a 50% discount from the 2nd time onwards.
She went to the back room and spoke with the nurses.
She returns after a couple minutes later and says, "just on this occasion we will do ¥75,000"
I laughed is bemusement and insisted she apply the repeater discount.
She said the repeater discount was for underarm botox not for hands or feet.
I explained again that that simply wasn't true.
She then takes out her smartphone to try and show me the pricing and shows that for underarm botox the price is normally ¥180,000 and then ¥55,000 for the 2nd time onwards and says, "so as you can imagine we can't give such a big discount for you just for hands and feet".
I laughed again and asked if this was a prank TV show.
She then goes back to the nurses again and says, "just this once we will do it for ¥55,000".
OK great - finally! I thought. As she enters it into the calculator, she mutters, "and then plus 10% tax"
WHAT!?!?! I told her the ¥55,000 should be including tax.
Again she goes back.
This time her colleague comes back with a ring binder showing outdated tax rates of 8% and explaining that it should be ¥55,000 + tax.
Knowing she is wrong, but by now running late for a meeting, I finally relent to their scam.
Either way, whether tax should or should not be applied, it at least proved that the original price of ¥110,000 was wrong and the subsequent ¥75,000 was also a lie.
After I finally paid, the receptionist complained to me that it was my fault for not confirming the price before the procedure. As if I should have presumed that they would try to scam me.

Often I would get irate in such a situation but fortunately I found the situation so laughably ridiculous I could see the funny side.

Apart from that, the procedure itself was painful. They don't use anesthetic but instead just ice the area numb. They stood over me in silence staring at me as my foot was in the ice and kept indirectly encouraging me to say my foot was sufficiently numb "let us know once it's numb. as I said, let us know once it's numb". Feeling pressured I took it out and as a result was in terrible pain as they injected my foot.

カンパンのシミも見抜けない
美容皮膚科医でした？！
6年以上前に頬のシミが気になり診察受けに、カンパンと診察された
60歳過ぎて頃から無くなって来ますとしかし63歳ななっても濃くなるばかり
6年以上我慢していたが、今年
他の美容皮膚クリニックで診断を受けると、やはり誤診。
「これはカンパンでは無いね」と2人の先生が、何処の美容クリニックだか、「完全な誤診だね」と私の6年以上を、返せ…と思う
そんな医者がいるのか！
診察も感じ悪かったの事を覚えている
