Easy to navigate, had an issue where the check in desk showed one location where staff said another but other than that was easy!

After returning to the UK I was unable to retrieve my electronics that the staff took off of me, they said it would be with my bags when I landed but nothing was there, Gatwick staff couldn't help so I guess the staff here stole it, unable to speak to anyone that spoke English on the phone. Just as a warning, put all of your electronics in your check in otherwise they will vanish into thin air.

It's a huge airport with a modern interior design. The high ceiling makes it widen. Technology usage such as face recognition apply to speed up immigration process. The boarding room is huge and it has rest room nearby.

This airport is very nice. Simple design, nice colours and the high ceiling gives a comfortable feeling. The processes at the airport whether checking-in, security screening, passport controls are all fast. The duty free area is simple, small but good. Few restaurants to eat and a nice CIP lounge.

Passing through to another final destination, the architecture is pretty good. Being accustomed to Doha lounges this does fail rather miserably. The food available is not wide and the bars have little variety. In all fairness I should compare the budgets and number of people passing through to justify a good comparence. Maybe this is a tiny airport!

First of all, I have to admit I loved the old airport. I know it was not adequate to the current traffic and travellers' needs, but it was unique, different and memorable. The new airport is much more comfortable, easy to manage, with all necessary facilities a traveller expects but - it can be anywhere, it has no local spirit. The old one could have been preserved, I think, perhaps serving a different purpose. Now I'm sorry I did not take its picture, not expecting its complete demolition. :-( The new airport building, however, is interesting, especially the ceiling reminding of Bedouin tents. If you come to this airport, remember to lift your eyes up. And down to see the sparrows - I don't know how they get in and out but they are a nice sign of nature inside the human-made structure.

I just love the chic atmosphere of mainly natural lighting and unpainted concrete feel of the architecture of the airport. It's a model for us to follow in Africa. Instead of building big, build chic

    The best airport in Jordan!!!
The new airport and additional current extension are way better than the old airport.
Airport is medium sized with enough lanes and gates.
Security check is perfect although security staff still need to practice more on pleasant dealing with the passengers, at least smiling exercise!
Parking lots are well designed but the cost per hour is quite expensive.
No places at all for kids inside the airport.
No enough seats available in general.
Two main lounges available with good services.

Pretty decent airport with little hustle and well spaced out. Good food options and nice collections to window shop. There is a store called jordan river foundation worth a visit. Though expensive looks worthy.

If I can give them a zero I would. I will never fly on the Royal Jordanian airlines ever again, this was my first and last. They are very picky about the weight of the bags, even the carry on bags. They will make you move items to other bags even if you are only over by 2 pounds. These security officers are scared to death and don't understand or care about your time. You'll go through multiple different security check points. To the point it is redundant and a total waste of time. At each security check they go through every bag, then a metal detector and a pat down. They must not trust their own employees. After going through 3 security check points
I bought a soda from inside the secured area of the airport, a few minutes later had to put it in the trash to satisfy an inspector that cannot speak a word of English at that 4th check point. Then after clearing the 4th check point, there is no water fountain nor any place to buy anything to drink so is you are there for a few hours good luck if you are thirsty.
Never again simply because I have much better options going through Europe.

I go to Jordan every 2 years to visit my grandparents. This past May when I arrived the airport smelled of cigarettes. That wouldn’t have been a problem if it wasn’t for my asthma. Overall it is one of the cleanest modern airports in the world and region. Very organized and Starbucks!

Great and clean airport. Good food and nice duty free shop. The immigration works very fine and fast.
Only the taxi drivers are really unfriendly - that was our only bad experience in Jordan.

Good airport when you arrive you will be greated by armed forces who check nothing and tell you to open your trunk, total waste of time,.

Clean airport, good remodeling throughout, customer service improved since last visit,.

Watch out if you arrive to take anything except airport taxi, they have a booth outside.
Lot of scum try to harass you to go with them. But they are more expensive and you need to worry about your safety with them, so beware.

DO NOT TRAVEL TO THIS COUNTRY ESPECIALLY AS AN AMERICAN !!!! The staff will lie and say your baggage hasn't showed up or it's on a different flight but it will be in the back room where a group of airport staff steal from your bags. If you have this problem just go the back room and you will find your bags. They have a lot of low class criminals working in this airport and no one is doing anything about it!!

GREAT airport! Super clean and tidy! All staff were helpful and knew what they were doing, perfect size for an airport (not too big so you won't get lost nor too small so it won't feel packed), you'll find whatever you need in the duty free shop with reasonable prices, all in all a fantastic airport!
