Such a great tour! We spent a week in Jordan and saw SO MUCH - Amman, Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. Ask for Alaa as your guide, he's fantastic.
Such pleasant and accommodating folks. Best in the biz!
The best
Travel agency for customized tours, excellent service
Had a great tour of Jordan with Jordan Select tours. Nothing was a problem to organise with Ola . We had two drivers supplied by Jordan Select and both were of excellent standard.Would definitely recommend Jordan Select to anybody looking to tour Jordan.
Jordan Select Tours was recommended to me by a friend and they didn't disappoint. Amira was super responsive in her emails and she gave me the package that best suited my needs. Airport pickup was great and everything was in order for my visa, transportation, accommodations, and tours. Great company. Use them if you're looking to book a trip in Jordan.
Modern offices.
Just completed a 5 night tour of Jordan with my girlfriend (me 54, her 46) using Jordan Select tours and can't say enough about what a great experience they provided. We opted for the individual itinerary to suit our timeline and make sure we got to see what we wanted to see on our timeline. We also opted for the 5 star hotels for comfort and to add a little extra security. Although, I will say, we never felt uncomfortable or unsafe in our week in Jordan. Just like you read when doing research, they are a stable country in a rough neighborhood. Lots of police presence, esp. in the main tourist areas, and the people as a whole (my impression) are more live and let live than maybe some of the other surrounding countries. The individual itinerary is a little expensive, but if you have the resources and limited time, or just don't want to tag along with a bigger group and have more flexibility, it's definitely the way to go. Mrs. Farraj was very helpful in setting up our itinerary, customizing it for what we wanted to see within our timeline. What we did: arrive Amman Sun night from US; toured three Desert Castles west of Amman, then Baptism Site, then Red Sea for hotel Mon night; Mount Nebo, Madaba, Shawbak Crusader Castle (in lieu of more crowded Kerak Castle), Petra hotel Tues night; Petra all day Weds, same hotel; Wadi Rum Jeep tour then back to Amman for hotel Thurs (same hotel as Sun night); Amman City tour and Jerash Friday then drop off at airport Friday evening for flight back to US.
Jordan Select was great from the start. As soon as we got off the plane after traveling for the better part of a day, we met one of their representatives who whisked us through immigration (visa) and baggage and to our waiting car, straight to the hotel. Nice not having to worry about the arrival details when you are beat from traveling all day.
We can't say enough about our driver Firas; if you book a tour through Jordan Select and need a private driver, request him, you will not be disappointed. He is extremely professional. He speaks excellent English. If you engage him, he is happy to answer questions about anything (history, politics, religion, etc). We learned a lot about the Jordanian (and Muslim) culture just from chatting with him. If you decide you just want to stare out the window and not engage with him, he's content to drive and not bother you. The car was a newer Sonata in very good shape and the roads were in good condition and (mostly!) drivers who obeyed traffic laws.
My only regret is I wish we'd had one more night. At the time of my planning, I didn't really think camping out in Wadi Rum was something I'd really enjoy. However, after doing the 3 hour jeep tour, I realized it would have been pretty cool to camp out and see the stars at night and sun come up. Just something to consider if you have the time.
Petra was amazing. We walked about 8 miles that day, which is about the minimum to see almost everything (we did skip a couple side paths to save some milage!). Didn't take any of the animal rides and hiked both uphill stretches (to the Monastery and the High Place of Sacrifice). We are both very active but were beat by the end of the day. The Monastery is a must see. I actually liked it better than the Treasury.
Bottom like is if you are thinking of touring Jordan and are looking for a company to use, Jordan Select is the one. No surprises and they will set you up with what you want if you want the individual tour package. Also, request Firas as your driver - he's excellent.
If plan to visit Jordan. Just reach out to Jordan select tours. And let them handle everything. Very professional, value for money and really care about tourist happiness
I contacted Jordan Select Tours from a search on the internet. I explained my plans for our family vacation in Jordan and I received a suggested itinerary in less than 36 hrs. We did a multi day trip under a private tour. A representative was at the airport who took care of our visas and he later introduced us with our driver. Excellent service, suggested hotels, food and tour guides at specific locations. Jordan has a lot to offer and I definitely will visit again under a private tour with Jordan Select Tours.
