This little museum has a wonderful collection of Ammonite sculptures. The famous Amman Citadel inscription is displayed here which is the oldest and longest written record in Ammonite language using the Aramaic script. It tells of the commission of a temple by the god Milcolm.
Entrance into this humble museum is included in your Citadel ticket. There are a limited amount of artifacts, many of which are reproductions. There is not a ton of information provides on the information plaques.
They have some cool historical stuff in this museum
Lots of historical artifacts. Friendly staff will guide you for a small tip
Good collection!
However sad to see such a old antique pieces being kept in not appropriate conditions.
It's inside the Citadel. I was amazed at the artifacts and how far back in history Jordan goes back. Well worth the visit.
This amazing Museum is within the Citadel. If you came for the view, you might not think to visit this modest sized building, but you'd be making a big mistake. Within its modest rooms, there are artifacts that help define the Jordanian people and culture from the earliest times.
