One of the largest and most extant crusader castles left. The name, direction boards were missing. The guide is too costly and superficial.
It's having at least five floors with a very complex plan. Need one or two days to understand it.
But with few hours you will get a feel and especially about the dark interiors. And able to imagine life in it about thousand years back.

Casle was nice, lots of information signs and lots of rooms to wander through.

Parking was crazy! Good luck finding a spot and don't necessarily trust Google to know which roads are one way

    Cost to use bathroom.

There is a very nice overlook view. A castle, Is a castle, Is a castle. It was built in the 1400's and has some cool engineering elements. It is very large, you'll need a guide to explain the architecture.

Nice to see if it is on your way and if you have time but not a necessity unless you are fan of old castles.

Awesome huge castle, my father and I got lost twice cause it's that big atleast 50 rooms. It's definitely a must visit and would take 2.5 hrs to see most of the castle.

I found Karak Castle interesting. You can have an idea how ancient people were strong people who were able to built a castle with great stones. The Castle is large and on the mountain, it is protected naturally.

There are a lot of cool nooks and crannies in the castle to explore. There are also some great views. Salahaddin used this castle.

Very beautiful Castle. Nice historic story to it. Fee is very reasonable. Lot to see. Suitable for bigger children, but under supervision.

Large and well preserved castle. Also has nice views over the surrounding area.

It really needs some signs and explanations on-site. Expected some more information on such a large and advertised location.

Wonderfully intact and quiet, giving the visitor a chance to walk around and contextualise its rich history. Location really helps understand it's strategic importance and for the non-historically minded the view down the valley and cool breezes make it a welcome respite.

Great castle with substantial remains. The underground vaults, chambers and passageways are spectacular. Great fun for children and adults. However, railings and safety fences are missing at many places. Caution and supervision of infants are necessary. Information signs and boards are few. The restrooms are outside the main gate and they charge 700 fils to use them. Overall, a must see place with loads of opportunities for family fun.

The castle is a large complex, but there isn't much information in the form of signs. Neat to wander around, but I can say it was very informative. The day we were there is was super windy, so hold on to your hats!

One of the bigger and better preserved castles in Jordan. There's not much direction once you're inside the castle, but the view of the surrounding countryside is a must see.

Nice spot - you can walk through all ways without any regulations. The castle is really big and impressive. For nice stay you need approximately 1-2h. You have a nice view over the city.

Place is amazing , historical, and a must to see. However, be careful if you have kids with you or old people, pay attention to stairs. More safety metrics need to be implemented.

Poorly maintained, hard to find, and very wheelchair inaccessible. You need to use a lot of imagination to feel the crusader or Ottoman vibes. The castle is very big and the tunnels are pretty cool. Not much else going on here

A fortress that feels like if you were walking into a medieval movie. It has been reconstructed and even has some modern style touches. The museum seems to always be closed and no explanation is given. Still the visit is very much worthy.

A good ruined castle but not a huge amount of information, so you're left to roam the site and see what the structure might have been like. Good valleys of the surrounding valleys are available from up here though.
