This was a last minute, 2 day booking and an absolutely excellent experience! Cheryl made authentic Jamaican food for me. We laughed and shared family photos and stories.
Vivian, the owner, shared evolving ideas with me for this "Palace with marble floors" as I like to call it! The cleanliness was impeccable!
I watched a sunset while sitting in a kayak on water so clear that no matter how deep the water, you could always see the vegetation and coral below you.
On the first day there, I spied 2 fishing rods and caught 5 fish and a sting ray in two days, right from shore!!
This was truly an authentic experience of Jamaican hospitality in a serene oasis. I intend to come back as soon as possible. We didn't just visit Jamaica, we made friends. Thx so much!!response / report this review -

This place is amazing! My family stayed there recently for 5 days and we couldn't have asked for more. I'm very big on cleanliness and hospitality and this quaint and comfy spot provided that. When we arrived we were met by Peter (the owner of this establishment) who went over his expectations of his guests and also answered every question we had. Peter stayed on property and ensures his guests are taken care of at all times. Meals and transport are provided at a reasonable cost which made it very convenient, especially when traveling with children. Peter was very flexible to bring us around. We tried to make sure we gave him the heads up but even when we weren't able to he made himself available. Cheryl and Denise were the two ladies on the wait staff and were absolutely amazing! They made sure the rooms were clean and meals were provided upon request. The establishment has a menu however, we were able to order things not listed and it was still prepared (just give the ladies a little notice to gather the grocery list). We ran out of snacks for the kids and Peter went out and got additional snacks for them. The rooms face the ocean, have AC, television, a refrigerator (stocked with drinks for purchase), a safe, hot water in the shower (the water can sometimes run cold, however, if you let Peter know he'll make sure the hot water is back on in no time). If you're looking for the perfect mix of island life with hotel amenities this is the place to be. We'll definitely be using them again!

Great experience. Nice location, good accommodations. Peter took us on a city tour and Sheilan cooked curry and plantain porridge that were both delish.

Google maps has location wrong look for Waters Edge Villa. That's correct. Very quiet location. Peaceful. Close to town with a car. We'd stay again here.

My stay was just heavenly. My room was simply beautiful. I laid in bed and watched the water from the huge windows that surrounded my suite. My breakfast was served on my balcony each morning. Dinner was served if i requested. They avcommodated my vegetarian meals.. Peter, the manager and staff were professional and caring. Best hotel accommodations ever. I was also able to take daily tours from the guesthouse with Peter. Can't wait to return again soon. Additional costs charged for tours and extra meals were minimal. I have traveled around the world. But this trip was one of the best.

Our stay at Water's Edge was everything we hoped for. It was conveniently located near downtown Montego bay and only 15 minutes from the airport. The manager and staff at the property made sure we had everything we needed! The room, common areas of the house and the property in general were clean and in great shape. We were pleased to find out that we were able to utilize the on-site transportation to go virtually anywhere within reason! The driver was a fantastic tour guide and very friendly! We would definitely sttay again and recommend it to anyone.
