The School of Public Health & Health Technology at the University of Technology, Jamaica is the Caribbean's premier tertiary educational institution for that grooms students in the field of preventative medicine and health and safety practice.
The School offers undergraduate courses of study in Environmental Health (Public Health Inspection), Public Health Nursing, and Occupational Health & Safety. Their is also a Master of Public Health degree programme which aims to build on the prospects for Public Health Research and sustainability in Jamaica and the Caribbean. The vision and mission of the School calls for greater collaborative efforts locally, regionally and internationally, thus creating opportunities for forming alliances with other schools in Jamaica and abroad in areas of teaching service and research. In keeping with this, we have already installed the technology capability of a data centre. This enables us to join the Global Virtual schools of Public Health thus possessing the capacity for global reach.
