The location of Tropics View Hotel is Ok, they have secured parking, wifi, restaurant on site. They are roughly about two minutes away from the town of Mandeville, which has a very cool climate. The hotel rooms are not excellent but they are quite good. I spent my honeymoon there two years ago, so i can recommend it as a good place to visit.

Need more with the breakfast option here. The pool was ok when I used it. Rooms are clean and well kept. My last reservation at the time of this review, was disappointing for me as the person on the phone seemed uninterested in assisting me. The property is huge and have an area for outdoor weddings.

Very good place to stay. The rooms are well kept. I have never stayed for longer than a weekend and I have never seen a room attendant, but I would assume that there are such services available. Cost is very reasonable plus you get complimentary breakfast for each night. Parking should not be a problem.

I stayed at Tropics View Hotel from November 14 to the 24th and Ill say it was great . The staff there is amazing and so polite the morning breakfast was great just wish there was more options. Grounds are keeped very nice ,pool was clean and water temperature was nice to . Thanks for the amazing experience and well sure to good back next year . Rupert Murray and Jennifer Kowalski

Hotel environs is OK if your looking for peace and quiet, for the rooms quite spacious, beds are comfy, however for warm water totally need upgrading, food is excellent if you enjoy Jamaican cuisine, there is a bar area, bathrooms are OK, this is not an all inclusive hotel, but breakfast is complimentary, there is also a kitchenette each rooms have television but they are located in the dinning area, no entertainment, the environment is always cool.

I have only stayed in suites in this hotel. The suites are just like little apartments with a stove, kitchen, fridge, micowave, washing machines, water heater beds and furniture. The surroundings are fairly clean but it is obvious that this a low budget hotel. The place is obviously ageing but owners do enough to keep it presentable. I booked a suite for an entire week that also gives you complementary breakfast but you will pay for dinner. They have a bar a little restaurant a pool and a court that can be used for various sports. The breakfast menu is basic. You are nestled on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful houses and scenery and you are about 11 mins away from the hospital, police station, restaurants and fast food. Good place stay if you have to travel locally for work or you want an affordable option.

This hotel is a hole in the wall type thing. Unfortunately Mandeville is not known for its hotels. The standard rooms are very outdated, no AC. My company puts me up there when I have business in Mandeville. The front desk service needs improvement as well.

This is the worst hotel don't go there I stay there for a few days it was the worst experience of my life someone broke into my room and stole all my jewelry my watch my change my rings and I had 159,000 and they took it they also took my shoes and date of my girlfriends Samsung and my iPhone ... I lost everything The hotel didn't even give me back my money and they didn't have any cameras in the hallway to show anything when the police came to run the video

Property and staff are very friendly. The food at the restaurant is the best I've had in a very long time at any hotel locally. Rooms are very spacious and suited for the family.

Not bad for a hotel in an unusual location. One of the best if not the best hotel in the area.
