#StarCoronaMeter: Over the last 24 hours, Jamaica recorded five new COVID-19 cases and 17 additional recoveries. The island now has a record of 883 confirmed positives and 743 recoveries.
Six men were this morning shot dead during a joint police-military operation in Effortville, Clarendon. Two members of the Jamaica Defence Force were also reportedly injured during the operation. Law enforcement sources have revealed that three rifles were seized.
#StarCoronaMeter: Over the last 24 hours, Jamaica recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the island to a total of 878 cases, with 95 cases being active. Nine of the new patients arrived on flights from the United States and five are under investigation. Two more patients have recovered, bringing the tally to 726.
