St. Hugh's hope that each student will become a person of vision and make a worthwhile contribution to the school and society.The school is concerned with the development of the whole child and encourages students to seek the academic excellence of which they are capable, while developing the physical, moral and aesthetic aspects of a child's life.

St. Hugh's regards each student as a human being with dignity and rights and hope that she will develop self-respect which will in turn serve as the basis for respect for others and property.
