It’s a really nice airport with somewhat friendly staff and a really nice environment. It’s quite small but it’s not crowded which is very efficient. Departing from here is very smooth from checking in to going to your gate. There are very nice stores to do your final shopping and good food options from DQ to Margaritaville and so much more. The best part for me is that Starbucks will soon be apart of it.

My issues with the airport all have to do with arrival. Going through the necessary areas are good but while at the baggage claim the bags sometimes takes forever to get on the carousel. On one occasion, while I was waiting to take my bags off, someone took it off and was trying to charge me for doing something I was going to do myself. It also becomes a hassle when trying to exist ,as you are bombarded with persons trying to charge you to take your bags less than 10 feet outside. Then when you do get outside you are also being harassed to take someone’s taxi even when you say you have a drive.

Overall I think it’s a great airport, there just needs to be some more organization with existing and not be so crowded with persons trying to get you to use their services.

Best airport in the Caribbean. Lots of variety, jewels and pleasant Jamaican people!

A couple of years ago, Sangster completed a huge remodel that brought this airport into the modern age. It is easy to navigate. Landing and take off is amazing because it's over the water. Landing makes you think you are coming into the ocean. There is a Margaritaville there. They have duty free shops with lots of local flavor and things you love. They have a few restaurants. Customs is busy or busier, but they know what they are doing. You don't linger as long as some airports. Several of the bigger resorts have private lounges.

Traveled from MBJ Airport for the first time, I found it vastly different from that of KIN Airport. The decor featured a lot of great things about Jamaica which was very refreshing. The staff was very pleasant too. It just needs a little more modernization to take it up a notch.

Smaller airport but seems to be well laid out. Lots of shopping and the Mobay Club is nice but the food is not anything to write home about.

The Mobay club is worth it however just to sit and have a few drinks while waiting for your flights.

DO NOT buy a beer outside of the airport wait until you're down the road a bit. $7-8 USD per beer is what you will pay here.

The worst airport does Tui really want these people to be the last thing we remember about my great holiday suit case opend after i checked it in and two phones stolen and perfume stolen god knows what else the big thing is the phones can’t work over there and it can’t be opened. How disgusting that you can’t go to jamaica 🇯🇲 to visit family and attend my father in laws funeral without been robbed of my personal possessions. SAD. Had to post one start to be able to leave my review it doesn’t even deserve that. Poor Poor Service.

We arrived just after lunch time on a Sunday in February. The line was pretty long to get through customs. Fortunately the driver we had picking us up managed to have us come through a shorter line behind only 3 people so we breezed through. Unfortunately when departing here my pregnant wife was randomly selected for closer inspection. Good part was it was only a swab of her hands to check for drugs so it didn't take long and we were on our way. The airport is practically in Montego Bay so we were only minutes from the resort. Beautiful takeoff and landing with the airport right beside the Caribbean sea.

Beware of the fradulent brown atm machines in the entrance hall and in the security area!!! My card was immediately copied and my bank deactivated it because it registered access in the US! Really dangerous and I don’t understand why the airport allows such machines in the terminal!!! Cannot recommend the airport!

If your flying into Jamaica to visit, make sure to fly into Montego Bay. Its on the North Coast, which is very beautiful. Its the best place to start your journey.

The best things about a very quiet Montego Bay Airport this morning was first the happy women in departures who all greeted me with pleasant good mornings!

Next the assistant in the Pandora store who cleaned my jewelry whilst I went to eat breakfast. Always top service in this store and why I often shop there.

Biggest thanks to Damian at Wendy's who was the only person who seemed interested in serving me this morning out of all the food areas of which nearly all had staff on duty but said were not open at 8.45am, even Margeritaville? Damian's salesman ship was great, as was his service and his friendly, smiling demeanour. Plus the rest of Wendy's staff were very nice too.

Just going back to Wendy's for a free coffee top up ....

Not nice to be treated with disdain. Had to suffer poor customer service from supervisor Tracy Ann. Was 3 kg overweight at check in and had no carry on. No problem very happy to pay the 81 dollars for excess weight. However supervisor Tracy Ann was the epitome of rudeness, no introduction, no explanation, in fact she looked bored, was more interested in her form filling rather than being polite and courteous to the customer. Was even Sucking her teeth when I enquirerd as to her name. Does Tui really want this as the face of their company on their customers arrival at the airport? Don't think so I suggest further customer service training. Such a shame apart from that all the other staff and the airport is lovely

Entering to Jamaica was wonderful, I had the best time of my life! Ppl here were very pleasant I love it!!! But when I came to the airport to check out and checked all my belongings they told me that I couldn't bring with me my lotions and beverages ok! I can understand beverages but my lotions now come on!! Really so what my husband did was so oh you trashing them well I will spilled out all of the inside so you won't take it for yourself!!! I rather give it to someone else, but not to you!!!! I was really disappointed!! Everything was great until I got to the airport for this rude staff!!!

First time here. Airport wasn't over crowded, however customs was a little hectic which I understand with everything going on in the world. To my surprise though the airport was cleaner/ neater than I thought it would be when u considers where we were (Jamaica) not to be negative but just a realist. Airport staff and personnel was very professional. I have no problem returning.

American Airlines was the worst in Montego Bay. They have no organizations when it comes to issues with their systems. I had a wonderful vacation until it was time to leave and had to stand in a line for over four hours because their system went down. With no water or I am sorry for the inconvenience nothing. I truly feel the airline think people owe them. even tho its our money that keeps them in business.

A good airport, not too big, 18 gates and over 100 check in desks. It can get busy but they're quite good at getting people through.

The air conditioning is sporadic so you will get hot in there, but there are a fair number of shops, bars and restaurants as well as two duty free shops so there's plenty to do.

Second time departing from this airport and on both occasions the queue for check in has been over an hour. Apart from that it's a very good airport. Security is quick and airside has a good selection of duty free shops and places to eat.

Worst experience of my life. If you have a U.S passport your treated horrible and yelled at for no reason. I bought items worth about $150 U.S that I was forced to throw away. The woman at the check in line to board United was extremely rude when I requested to check in a second bag. It was bad enough that I was traveling with a 3year old she had no sympathy and showed no remorse to help me check in a bag which would have made my life so much easier. I will never go back to Jamaica and my friends and I planned on going on vacation next year but we will be going to another island instead. Somewhere that gives outstanding customer service.

Pretty quick service here. Everything is always in order and easy to get from one place to another. I've travelled to and from here about 6 times and haven't had an issue waiting in lines. Great airport and service!
