Family friendly, daily activities. Great food I can't complain about a single thing I had there food wise. They have 4 water slides, lazy river, splash pad area for young kids. Many different large pools. The sprots bar is slow but good small food. The Italian was our favorite we went twice it was one of the best. Zen was the only one you had to book ahead. The rooms were small but just what you need. Nothing to complain about for the rooms either. This is for sure a family friendly resort and I would definitely recommend taking your family

It was very interesting.

Ambiance very nice . various areas to use on property.

The kids pool area is great, there's a cafe, a snack bar and beach side snack shop along with various restaurants.

Variety in food choices on the buffet is a bit limited.

The only reason I give 2 stars is because Jamaica and this resort is beautiful, but unfortunately the honeymoon stops there. I will also state that I am fortunate enough to go on these vacations because my in-laws are very generous and family oriented. However, if I was directly paying for this vacation I would want to hear about previous experiences, hence my review. To understand my experience you must know that we usually go to a resort in Cancun, Mexico each year so this is where I developed my threshold of what customer service should mimic. We stayed in the Royalton, Cancun last year. This year we are staying in the Royalton Blue Waters, Jamaica. My first experience coming in I noted that we were not greeted by hotel concierges with a warm towel and a drink like we would in Mexico. The first day when we went to breakfast the power in the resort went out. Subsequently we were stuck in a buffet where you had to wait 20 minutes just to get eggs or bacon because as soon as they placed it then literally mobs of people would submerge upon the line with no courtesy. Unless you go to the buffet before 0900 each day it’s still the same story as far as the wait. It’s also really difficult to find ketchup in the buffet because they seemingly only put one bottle out for the day. They also don’t label any of the sauces or salad dressings which is really annoying. The first morning I took a hot shower. But that afternoon we had no more hot water. We thought maybe this was an anomaly but after the third day we are sometimes grateful just to have running water in the first place. The staff courtesy here can vary dramatically but overall there is absolutely no sense of urgency upon the staffs view of your customer experience. Therefore, sometimes you may be waiting up to 30 minutes just for a drink, that is if they don’t forget about it in the first place. If your looking for an all-inclusive with high quality customer service and higher quality food then stay in Cancun!

We had no hot water a couple of times and a couple of times no water at all. The staff were all lovely and friendly but the quality of the food in the individual restaurants wasn't the best except the Asian one called Zen. The main buffet restaurant was brilliant with everything you could wish for so we ate there most of the time. The pools were brilliant and entertainment was great for children. We didn't get the room we requested next to my daughter's partners and had to wait 3 days to be moved. My god daughter who's wedding it was didn't get her bridal suite and had to wait a week to get it - the night before her wedding!! The rooms were cleaned every day and there was a turn down service which was lovely.

My favourite hotel, everything's great there. White Sands or Blue waters it's a great choice. Best hotel food you will eat, wide variety of restaurants and grill, food well seasoned and very tasty. Lots of pools and slides for both adults and children. Lazy river, kayaking and much more, rooms and bathrooms are modern and very nice.

Beautiful place. Very polite people. But the service speed could improve A LOT. It takes FOREVER to get a drink unless it’s just water. We came here through work with over 200 other people and the majority of us did not have hot water at all. Cold showers the entire time we were here which was 5 days. And when my husband went down to the front desk— because our phone in our room didn’t work— to ask for maintenance in our bathroom, i had to go down 30 minutes later and ask where someone was and it was another 20 minutes before someone came to our door.

Nice place for the family! They have 10 restaurants to choose from (Zen is a must go), water slides, water sports, multiple pools, hot tub, activities for children, spa and a gym. The rooms could use a little more work, they are small and lack the level of comfort and style that the brand tries to associate themselves with.

Really friendly staff, but a little too laid back for the service industry. A few seemingly minor issues were not attended to during our entire stay after many requests. For example the telephone in our room did not work, while they advertise free calls to North America. Two of the restaurants were closed during our stay. The pool area is fantastic! Clean fresh water, lots of lounge chairs and towels, kids area and adults area. The beach has really nice soft sand and a gently sloping entry to the ocean. Food was generally very good. This rating could be five stars with some attention to detail in a few areas.

Nice hotel complex but the bathrooms in places were a bit tired. Shower head spray was hitting the ceiling bringing down the paint. Hairdryer missing from bathroom for the second time (I visit regularly through work). Staff always attentive and friendly. Complex is arranged so that you have to go outside to access the restaurants, which is ok until it rains (very heavily).got absolutely drenched even with an umbrella. Could do with covered walkways or a couple of restaurants that can be accessed from indoors.

From the moment you arrive you feel the warmth and welcome of the staff. Great start. The rooms are ok but the property is absolutely beautiful. So much to see and do. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family, friends and clients.

Excellent Resort. Staff is friendly and courtous. Facility and landscaping is also great. If you love the water there are several pools and beach you can swim to your hearts content. Great place also for kids with kids centre and water slide. Some rooms have their own private pool. Only drawback rooms are a little small. All in all you will have a great time at this resort.

I'm currently staying at this Resort. Please do not waste your hard earned money to stay at this Resort. First their so called Luxury room is tiny maybe 10 × 10 with a twin bed and single bed ( big guys beware you gonna hate it. The elevators should be called a sauna that's how hot they are. If you don't get a ocean view you will be looking at concrete. Fully stocked bar my a$$ that tiny fridge in the room is a joke 2 bottles of water, coke and beer. I could go on and on. But I won't. The pictures they post are of all their high end room so unless your paying an arm or a leg you will be getting a tiny room. Shame on you Royalton !!!!!!

Very friendly staff, great attitude most of the time. Can be a bit slow getting things.. milk needed for baby for example but on the whole really really nice people and a great venue. Lots of stuff to do for adults and kids so no one will be left out.
Room sizes are a little on the small side and one of two lifts were out of order causing a bit of chaos.
Quality of food was 10/10 and the restaurants were just as good, very impressed indeed!
Facilities were all very clean and of a high standard. I'd definitely come back.
The currency preference is USD but Jamaican dollars are accepted and things tend to be slightly cheaper if paying with this method.
Thumbs up for Royalton!

Rooms are pretty hot, had to move rooms which they were very helpful doing. Great staff. This is our 3rd Royalton Resort that we have been to and this one has been our least favorite.

The food is great and service is really good. They try hard to satisfy your needs. The only thing is that there was a mix up the last time and they tried to rectify. Overall great place to stay.

I had my wedding there in April and the wedding was wonderful. The pictures came out great and the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were perfect. Our butlers, Kamal and Ardsley were magnificent and our wedding planner at the resort was so helpful. Thee food at the restaurants was great and the buffet was fantastic. Make sure you try the jerk hut at the beach too! The only downside was that the food at the sports bar too WAY to long to come out and there service at the restaurants left something to be desired. Other than that, i would highly recommend going to the Royalton and having a wedding there!

Worst hotel Jamaican need to boycott this resort they only cater for Jamaican during low season, when they are desperate. Very disrespectful team kicking Jamaicans out that booked months in advance, just to accommodate guest from overseas. I had to at last minute find another resort for me and my family and they didn't even call to let me know what was happening it was after my travel agent called they ask if i could change my vacation dates because they are over booked ,How rude and out of order, this was my first visit to the resort, customers service stinks. We need to come together as Jamaicans and not support this resort even if they offer it for free.

My daughter booked this trip for her wedding and the experience was great. Being employed in the service industry I was very pleased with the resorts staff and how they handled the wedding from start to finish. The food on the wedding buffet was excellent along with a desert table that would put most to shame and servers that never had a hand out. The rooms, pool, and facility was clean and the food at the other restaurants was the best we had ever experienced in our previous vacations.
I would recommend this resort to those planning weddings or families with kids as this resort has everything to keep all busy with activities and food that provides a large range of tastes.

The diamond club!!! Not worth a penny. You won't see the butler after the first day I would recommend to get the cabana instead for the day, at least you have a place reserved at the pool with TV and private small pool in front and a butler! ($150 a day) or family cabana $75 a day (no pool and TV but the rest)
Now good things,, the food is great the pool is good also the people are nice and polite totally we liked it. we have a two year boy and kids water park is awesome he enjoyed it everyday overal is a very good hotel.
