Such a great spot! Beautiful views and the hummingbirds sit right in your finger to feed! Great experience and really quiet and unspoilt spot. Highly recommended.

If you are a nature person or a bird lover, this is a must see attraction. To have Streamertails land on your finger and feed them is an amazing experience.

The place is nice and serene, many birds to see as they feed. I was of the impression though that I would be given a tour but the fellow there just sat down mostly. If you are charging money at least offer some kind of service. The place has potential, but needs someone with a vision. Beautiful friendly birds!

An extremely bumpy road and the fellow who owns the place is a real rip- off merchant . He hardly maneges to convert American dollars into Jamaican ones . At the same time the place is tranquil, full of twitting birds . I did enjoy watching finches.
My advice :1. if you have to take a taxi or you are not able to share it ,it is not worth going. I agree that added taxi fare makes your trip too expensive if you think what you get in return. 2 . if you are a group of adults , find better idea to spend your time. One adult is enough to surpervise kids , otherwise , it would cost you a fortune .I do recommend it for children but be aware and go in the morning We arrived at 2 pm and the hummingbirds were not so exited about the offered syrupat all. I was lucky to take just one kid with me , so I was watching her . It would be very disappointing if I had both because there were only few birds

Bumpy road getting there . but having magnificent beautifully coloured hummingbirds sitting on your finger is a sublime experience

Bumpy road but well worth it. At least 3 species of hummingbirds perched on my finger and sipped from the bottle of sugar water.

This was the best experience I had during my two weeks in the islands. Peaceful, meditative, and beautiful, Rockland Bird Santuary is for those amoung us who love the natural world and have an appreciation for people who take care of and pay attention to it. You may want to save your bucks and swim with sharks if you are interested in cheap thrills.

a must visit in jamaica, wish i had taken a picnic. i could have sat there for hours, very peaceful apart from the birds, guide very informative.
