This is a relatively new cruise port, filled and crop ration between Jamaica and the cruise lines. Nice place to walk around for an hour. Many of the same stores you see in all of the Caribbean islands. After a while, all of these cruise ports look alike! Not much to see outside of the port.
its not even an arm pitits a butt crack. The locals almost strong arm you to do business with them. You walk through the streets and some one will walk up next to you and act like your tour guide. I sat down on a bench and two different locals sat next to me to strike up a bizarre conversation and one of them sparked up a big fat joint. If you get off the ship in this port, be sure to sign up for a guided tour from the ship.
It has duty free jewelry shops. Has good choices of local food. I recommend the jerk chicken and the Jamaican blue mountain coffee.
Only open to people with passes and cruise ship visitors locals cannot just enter the grounds which in my opinion is unnecessarily exclusive and unreasonable. Locals should have access to the facilities. Tourists in Jamaica are treated better than its citizens.
Falmouth Pier is a safe place to walk about and to get tours. Mi Love Jamaica also offers tours in Spanish.
Walk around and visit the Water Fountain, go to the Old Courthouse or take s Jamaican Walking Food Tour. There is a lot to do and see in Falmouth.
A soft introduction into Jamaica. It's your typical tourist port with the high end shops along with your typical trinket shops. The people here are not as push as you will find everyone else is in the shops outside here.
Excellent place where cruise ships dock for their patrons to enjoy the various ships and snack bars. They will also enjoy the entertainment that is provided as well. The tour busses await for the touring of the town as well as to the private beach to enjoy the sun and cool liqueur or Red Stripe beer with jerk pork and chicken. Public bathrooms are on hand. Credit cards are accepted and patrons can enjoy themselves until their cruise ship call for all to board. The kids will be thankful for the experience.
This port as got one of the most important duty free shopping in the Caribbean. Cheaper than most duty places with friendly staff makes your shopping experience way more pleasant.
The rate is not to high due to location in Jamaica. There is way more beautiful places in that country and this one doesn't show much about it.
Nice port. Good shopping. GO INTO TOWN! GREAT PLACES TOO EAT! Don't listen to people who tell you to be afraid! The locals must want to sell you things to make a buck to survive. Just say "no thank you" and keep walking. They are kind. They will help you find your way for a buck. It's easy to find a ton of historic and very interesting places to go for FREE!
Beautiful environment. It was my first visit and I was impressed with the work done to the environment.

One of the better ports I've been to while on a cruise! Clean and has a TON of places to shop. Mostly fair priced and you can even barter with some of the shop owners.
This is a Royal Caribbean built port and as such is very clean and well maintained, but also comes with higher prices and profits from the sales within the port going to RC. We booked an excursion outside of RC and had no issues finding our driver and had a great float down a river and sightseeing bus drive.
If you're feeling a bit adventurous wander outside the pier and help support the locals!
Very crowded with shops & security gate to enter a cluster of local shops and their goods for sale, with a safe assurance of security all around. The locals we're very respectful but definitely trying to sell. Safer than in a more remote or downtown location.
The environment, entertainment, food and relaxing comfort zone is amazing &easy to get around with
Nice clean port area, secured. Tried to venture out gates but decided to turn back. Use taxi or cruise transport for getting around.
Falmouth port location perfect when leaving the ship, good prices, friendly staff/service. Everything from diamonds to Rolex watches and t-shirts. Enjoy.
The new cruise port is very well done. Very clean, easy to get on your excursion bus or a taxi to go to where you want to go. Lots of shops and full of reasonably priced merchandise/souvenir.
But out of the gate, it is a different world where local people live.
Beautiful views from the docks. The security checkpoint for re-boarding the ships has friendly and professional staff. There is a fantastic selection of shops, and even a nice local marketplace for crafts and the like. Try the Jamaican patties with a Ting while your there! They make for a great snack while you're shopping.
I feel this location was poorly planned. There was no integration with the local town infrastructure so visitors are offered a generic version of Jamaica with over-priced shops and "Made in China" souvenirs. Visitors are actively discouraged from going into town as opposed to creating mechanisms that bring interaction and opportunities for revenue to the local populace which would improve the experience for everyone.
It's beautiful, it's unique its cozy & a one of a kind experience it will take your breath away and to top all off you can walk from the ship straight in to town of Falmouth.
The port is organized and clean and sterile. If you just walk around here you are not really getting the experience of Jamacia. If you come in on a ship i would advise you plan an excursion through them. Take note of the giant fence surrounding this place, understand why it is there. And understand that when you exit this port you are entering another world. The people are lovely but there is some incredible poverty in Jamcia, and the hustle is strong. You experience it the moment you are outside, there are a ton of people haggling, unauthorized taxis etc.
The locals were so warm and welcoming here. Skip the obvious tourist trap souvenir shops and opt for the handmade goods. If you have any questions the locals are more than willing to help! If you venture out from the port there are many wonderful sights to see!
Just a tiny taste of Jamaica 🇯🇲. My wife is from there so we didn't need to do the touristy stuff, but the port has lots to offer. Drinks and tasty patties. If you are adventurous you can venture out and get the delicious Juicy Patties. There are local tours available so you can get to see a little of the real Jamaica.
Great gated spot with souvenirs. Obviously purpose built for cruise ships.
Not at all indicative of the real world but a bit of an oasis for those visiting Jamaica via a cruise.
Clean and safe. Controlled by the cruise lines, I'm sure. Some independent shops but a lot of them are owned/operated by the same organization (cruise line(s)?). Never left the compound.
The port area was very safe and clean, and the staff we encountered were very friendly. Security was very tight getting out of, and back into the area in a vehicle. Our poor taxi driver had to stop at 3 different checkpoints within the port area and present documentation before they would let us leave with him.
The blue hole about an hour and a half from Falmouth is a must place to visit, way better than Dunn's river, cliff jumping, fresh mountain water, waterfalls. A great place to spend half a day, wear a vest while in the water.
Went on a cruise to Haiti and Jamaica. This is one of the worst ports I have ever been to. Only fun if you take a tour out of port to some other city. It's just a gated off shopping center. If I wanted that I would go to the mall of America. Never take this cruise again
