The Oberlin Past Students’ Association exists to provide a medium for the alumni community to serve the interest of the school in an organized and recognized manner. The mandate of the Association is to build a community of past students that will assist our Alma Mater to foster improved learning opportunities to present and future generations of students at the school. The Association strives to increasingly empower the school to even better nourish the impressionable minds that pass through the institution so they too can make their contribution to society and continue to build and expand on the legacy of the school of which we are so proud. With each batch that graduates and joins this community, the Association becomes better able to execute its mandate.
The Association achieves its mandate through fund raising activities and from the collection of annual dues from its members. Anyone who is a past student of Oberlin High School is recognized as a member and is encouraged to formally register with the Association and make their individual contribution by paying their dues and supporting the activities of the Association. There is a reasonable assumption here that having benefited from the academic nurturing of our Alma Mater that we should feel some sense of patriotism and pride about our school and have some feeling of obligation to give a little back to the school that has given us so much.
