This a great venue for art. This site showcases historic and contemporary artworks.
Amazing Jamaican art and culture on display. With the added benefit of being by the picturesque Kingston Waterfront and newly renovated watering hole Victoria Pier
It is amazing, all different types of art with a little history. The price is also very reasonable.
Staff was warm.
Space was clean and well kept
Atmosphere was peaceful
Great place to visit the art peaces were really good it's a must visit place when visiting Kingston I'd recommend anybody to go check out Edna Manleys work you won't regret it they have a little area where you can buy little trinkets as wells great place go check it out
Enjoyed an energetic and unique approach to the art displayed there while on a free tour which happens once a month.
I am not really an art person. But I generally visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon just to view the exhibits. It's always very clean and the workers are quite pleasant.
I cannot begin to talk about how impressed I was with this gallery. The art work was thought provoking and the curator does a fine job of selecting and presenting the art work. I was there for an hour and I felt like I needed more time to absorb the artwork. If you are an art or history lover, please stop on in! Entry fee was very reasonable too.
Works of art from prehistory to contemporary. .. guides available and recommended.
The exhibition I visited was great it was on the topic: "we've meet before". Not sure the content of the Gallery outside of that program is engaging though
In Downtown Kingston you'll find the national gallery, home to many unique artistic works by local & int'l artists. The venue is quite big so set aside at least 2 hours if you'd really like to walk through & see everything.
Tour of the gallery gives you a great snapshot of Jamaican culture through the decades to present. The Biennial is a must see and after can stop by the gift store for some great coffee & sandwiches.
I love the art they have done well with the arrangements and definitely family friendly staff.
A peek into Jamaica's culture and talent. Do go see.
Personally I love going to the Gallery. My cousin has had several exhibitions there but the historical significance is why I return. Kingston is a wonderful city
Very informative about our ountries history portarayed through the arts
Best place in Kingston to view all kind of art work
Adequate paid parking adjoins the gallery. There is a gift shop with a books.
Nice place but needs more of Jamaica history to be showcased
Great display of local art, and a nice collection of historical pieces. The gift shop has some replicas at affordable prices as well.
