Amazing Jamaican art and culture on display. With the added benefit of being by the picturesque Kingston Waterfront and newly renovated watering hole Victoria Pier

I am not really an art person. But I generally visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon just to view the exhibits. It's always very clean and the workers are quite pleasant.

I cannot begin to talk about how impressed I was with this gallery. The art work was thought provoking and the curator does a fine job of selecting and presenting the art work. I was there for an hour and I felt like I needed more time to absorb the artwork. If you are an art or history lover, please stop on in! Entry fee was very reasonable too.

The exhibition I visited was great it was on the topic: "we've meet before". Not sure the content of the Gallery outside of that program is engaging though

In Downtown Kingston you'll find the national gallery, home to many unique artistic works by local & int'l artists. The venue is quite big so set aside at least 2 hours if you'd really like to walk through & see everything.

Tour of the gallery gives you a great snapshot of Jamaican culture through the decades to present. The Biennial is a must see and after can stop by the gift store for some great coffee & sandwiches.

Personally I love going to the Gallery. My cousin has had several exhibitions there but the historical significance is why I return. Kingston is a wonderful city

Great display of local art, and a nice collection of historical pieces. The gift shop has some replicas at affordable prices as well.
