Good service. Ambience is open. The location, away from the Mall makes it a little difficult as it is less convenient to travel to that part of the road as a pedestrian.

My customer service rep. was very friendly and helpful. Their prices aren't like they used to be (competitive). Still a good store to browse and maybe purchase from.

Great for unique dresses for sure and I got most of my heels from Maxie, those heels stood out in any public or private affair. They have a wide array of other stuff, I love love there work attire and how it's nicely together.

I was taken by surprise, in the fact that the home decoration section has been widen and they have some Fantastic pieces, I was loving it . bought some pieces same time and will be going back for lamps and more pieces. Honestly I only went to buy a dress for my daughter which I never got, but the decor pieces towels made up for it.

This is a regular Department Store located in Portmore. Maxies has for sale a wide assortment of male and female clothing, shoes housewares and small appliances. Civil Servants with their valid ID. Cards usually can get a 5% discount on purchases.

I received highly professional service from store manager (Portmore) Mrs. Folkes-Miller after I wrote her a letter of complaint. My relationship with Maxie Department Store (island-wide) has been enhanced ever since. If more Jamaican store owners could be this customer service savvy, then we would create fewer disgruntled customers and make more profit. Kudos to team Portmore!!!!!

Had a bad experience at Maxie's in Portmore recently. Bought a gym top for my teenage daughter. Took it home and had her try it on. I saw a thread hanging from the underneath. To cut a long story short, a section of the elastic band on the bra was torn, hence the thread. Called the store to ask if it could be exchanged. The answer was yes. Since I don't live in Portmore, I returned it about 3 days later, which was within the allowed exchange period. Spoke to a cashier who called, whom I'm assuming to be "someone in charge". Immediately she indicated that the item was now out of stock. So I pointed to one on a mannequin and indicated that I would have it. She never responded, but instead took the item I had returned to the back of the store. About 5 minutes later she came back and told me that it could not be exchanged and pointed to deodorant stains and face powder marks on it. In fact I could not get a refund either, but I could purchase another item at a discounted cost. To make matters worse, I was told that Maxie's "Had No Use" for the item. So I indicated that neither did I. It actually came across as if I was trying to exchange an item that I had worn. Now, my daughter does not wear makeup, and I know the deodorant marks were not from her. I am assuming that the item was previously tried on and damaged by a customer, and I unassumingly, purchased the said item without checking it properly. In fact, I would only have seen the rip and face powder marks if I had turned it inside out. Who does that? So I left all the way from the outskirts of Spanish Town, burnt my petrol to return an item, which I could easily have sewn and washed, had I known it was worn and damaged by my daughter!!! Incredulous!!! I left the item with Maxie's Portmore. I am a regular shopper at Maxie's Portmore, and never had any problems before,but this has left a bad taste in my mouth, because I think the "customer service" stank. I could have called the Consumers League and created a rukkus, but why waste my time, when I have an option? That was my last trip to Maxie's!!

Maxi portmore is one of a kind. Friendly staff.clean environment.you feel at home shopping there but what I really love is that the staff don't hoover over u. You get to shop in peace which I find very relaxing . Don't just take my word go and have your maxi experience.
