This is a very nice well maintained free public park that is clean and safe. Nice outdoor sitting area that your able to chill and spend time with family and friends. Its also the spot that most of Jamaicans tend to visit the watch the biggest events such as Olympics and other worldwide events that Jamaica is involved. Please visit and enjoy!

It's a great place to train Parkour on a Sunday and holidays when no one is there. It is well kempt, cleaned every day, but during the week it's not the safest place to be, even with the security there. I've seen women get their jewelry stolen from them.

Centrally located in the capital and is used as a landmark in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew. Close to shops and food establishments and a great ar3a to sit and chill in the busy town.

The park needs better maintenance and security. I don't feel safe in there at times and therefore generally avoid going inside. It's normally used for promotions and other marketing activities by media companies simply because plenty people traverse the area. It's very noisy because of the nearby traffic and bus and taxi stands on all sides. Due to the taxi and bus stands there is no more parking for those wishing to go here. At nights the drug addicts, homeless and mad people take over the park.

Great park in honor of the great Nelson Mandela. It was alot of sitting, public restroom, awesome flowering and landscaping. Central spot for getting transportation and meeting spot. It host events at times. Opening time is about 6 or 7 and closes at 11 or 1 depends on the night.

This park is alright enough even with its small size. Maintenance of the park is commendable. Free Wi-Fi is a plus too. Sadly, the park is sometimes overrun with hoodlums - selling, buying and smoking ganja, thieves & the downright idle hands. Better to be in a company or group of rather than by yourself. Lights need fixing as they are out (some of them) and not bright enough.

The real selling point for Mandela Park is the wifi. sometimes its not strong and chips in and out, but its better than nothing. I love the open area for sitting right at the theater. Wish the theater area was used more though.

Not a lot to do in this park. Park has an outside stage and seating that is used occasionally for local events. On a regular basis this park is a hangout spot for school children not ready to go home or taxi men on a break. Local street side vendors will also use the park to relax from time to time. I would not recommend the restroom facilities there but otherwise the park is kept clean by park management and vendors.

In my opinion, the park is sort of a 'fixer-upper'. During the day, there is not much shade from the boiling hot sun; however, in the evening/night time, i would say it is a nice spot to chill out with friends. It could also use a little more cleaning in all honesty.

Ordinarily a very insignificant park space. Chances are you'd pass it by without even noticing it but it does have a stage and seating for open air concerts which can be entertaining. 90% I pass by this park several times a week and barely cast a glance in its direction. During reggae month however, it comes alive for the weekly, free reggae concerts.
