Discovery Bay Marine Lab (DBML) is a University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona campus facility. As part of the Life Sciences department the focus of DBML is public education outreach, marine research, school outreach/educational opportunities, and facilitate management to Jamaica's reef zone. DBML offers boat rides, scuba access, the only hyperbaric chamber in Jamaica, a wet lab, dry labs, research facilities and dormitories for rentals. Catering is also available for groups using the facilities. As a partner in the Discovery Bay Special Fisheries Conservation Zone, it strives to increase awareness of invasive species and the benefits to conserving the natural marine environment within the inner and outer reefs off of Jamaica's northern coast.
