So delicious! Finally a place I can enjoy food at and they deliver!
Moving to Jamaica 3+ years ago has been quite the challenge especially when it comes to food. This place is so good, it satisfied all my cravings!
The food is just ok now... back in the day when they use to share in a foil looking container the food was really good. Remembered eating there after my graduation back in 2003 and felt food was bomb but now it just taste regular nothing to drive home about... they can cook rice though always shelly but not a fan of the meat like fry chicken, sweet and sour and curry goat which I order most times...
Nice dining restaurant in Spanish town, I think the location prevents it from being more known and supported but not a bad place e to eat
Been here a few times. Food tastes pretty good. Stew pork, curried goat and the fried chicken dinner are my favorite. All mostly served with white rice or rice n peas with some shredded veg or pasta to the side. You get both if u order a large. I don't care for the pasta. I would rather a piece of yam or sweet potato but its seems that's not an option. I've aways ordered take out but always felt unsafe and uncomfortable in the little passageway that I have to order from. I just found out yesterday that they have decent eat in area with nice ambiance but was told can't order take out from that side, They did take my take out order with no fuss though. I will consider eating in next time just because the takeout passageway makes me feel like I need to keep looking over my shoulder. Despite that I would definitely keep ordering from Cecil's. The food is good.
The sweet and sour chicken and roast chicken are very good. However, expect to wait 20 minutes for your food, even if they tell you it is already prepared and you are the only customer. The waitress seemed to assume that we wanted to linger...
Food is decent.... got through quickly
Food was ok, but not what it was trumped up to be...plus the service from the waiter was very poor. Wasn't worth a second visit for me
Love my favorite restaurant in Spanish Town order sweet and sour chicken and curry goat mix
Been visiting here since I've been a child. The food is still as great as I can remember. You can either dine in or take away. Prices are very reasonable. Even if it is slightly more expensive than any neighboring restaurants of its kind it's worth paying extra as a great flavourful taste experience will be guaranteed. As for pricing we had a table of three plus an extra meal to take away and it cost $3850JMD/ $30USD. Bear in mind this is about $1000JMD/$7.50 per person and this is a full meal with drink.
The food continues to be very good throughout the years. The place could use a facelift, both internally and externally but this restaurant continues to supply great meals fairly priced, not cheap but not too expensive and very good for the quality and quantity received. The restaurant can be a bit difficult to find as it is in the heart of Spanish Town, closer to the court house and Brunswick Avenue area. An area where one would not really expect to fine such good food. Its worth a try. Takeout is also available.
Customer service was good, how ever there was much on the menu to choose from because 9 of the 10 item on the menu wasn't there.
I can speak to taste and delivery only and both are excellent. I've never dined in. Not sure what parking etc is like
Don't know about these other reviews but their food is always good. You can eat rice alone because it's so properly done. This is my first in a long time but I will remember to order going forward. Thanks Cecil's.
Clean pleasant atmosphere, staff uniformed and courteous. Reasonable prices - value for money.
Good food and nice clean restaurant. Many variety of dishes to choose from.
I called there listed number and I couldn't get through, when I finally did they messed up my order giving me rice and peas instead of plain white rice. Furthermore she told me 10 mins to pick up and when I got there I had to wait way roughly 20mins before they could find me food. After trying the food it was not as good as expected...
Wonderful restaurant in the Heart of the City Spanish Town where you can eat in air-conditioned comfort with Pleasant service nice background music and very tasty meals ranging from Indian, Lebanese, Chinese and Jamaican Cuisine. Reasonably priced for good quality and flavor and taste. They do a wonderful takeout service here as well so if you're feeling not up to cooking this is a place to get your bulk dishes for mix and mingle eating.
Every time I'm in Jamaica this is one of the spot i have to stop. Fry chicken is off the chain my mom and dad never being there before they was very impressed with the food. My mom had the shimp chop suey my dad had the stew chicken and hard food he cleaned his plate and told the waiter he will be back tomorrow LoL.tum up
Good food and great environment, waiting time can be an issue sometimes tho.
Nice atmosphere, consistency in food quality and taste friendly and efficient staff
The customer service is below average while the food is average of all the times I have been there. They need a staff change especially the waitresses,to how bad it was the bartender had intervene.
Ok I work there that is experience enough
The best food i love cecil's food.
You can eat their rice and peas by itself.
When i order food it doesn't take long to come. Keep on doing what ya'll doing👍🏻
Enjoyed the coconut shrimp and plain fried rice . It was on point
Still the best restaurant in Spanish Town but not what it used to be...
I would say it's the best private own restaurant in Spanish town
Food is great and consistently so ice been eating here sincei wasa kid. fried chicken, pepper steak and special chow mein aremy recommendations.
I always eat here with my family. Whether its take out or dine. Their food is delicious and they have a consistent taste in their food. We are never disappointed when we eat here.
