A must visit for anyone that visits the beautiful island of Jamaica. There is so much history and information in the honorable Robert Marley's house. The guides are very well informed and love to get the group involved with songs. ONE LOVE

I love the displays both outside and inside the house. The tour guide gave interesting facts about bob marley, his family and his home. Wish I could take pictures of the inside but its restricted. Also, wish I could have walked around by myself without the tour guide. It was awesome to sing some of Bob's songs while during the experience. I would definitely go back and take a few friends with me.

Culture and Jamaican History at its best. If you visit Jamaica and want to understand its journey in music then this is a must one stop! Step back in time and travel through life with Bob Marley from his humble begins to to glory days on to his legacy still being lived through his talented children. See all of his awards , home and most precious meet people from all stages of his life who are still living and can get the 411 straight from the horses mouth!. I promise you you'll be inspired and blown away. If you do nothing else in Jamaica, do this. I live her now and do it at least twice a year with my visitors and love it every time.

Not worth the 25 dollars. Only go if you link to be marched around without time to look at anything.
The tour is super commercialised. Our tour leader really had no interest and was clearly going though the motions - allowed about two minutes per room enough for him to do his canned singing and 'Information' we were then literally forced to move on. Ending up with a 20 minute film and then pushed into the gift shop. Bob Marley would not be happy

We had a fantastic tour here and the guide was not only extremely knowledgeable but also very excited about Bob Marley and the history in the house. This is a tour I would recommend for everyone that visits. Just be aware there are a number of stairs in the house if you have any kind of motion disability.

Bob Marley's Birthday Celebration was good, great international interaction. However, there was one clear problem; some artist (Junior Reid) stayed on too long! Consequently other artists had short performances. All expected artists didn't perform. This was my furst visit to the Museum.

Great places if you're a pot head. Not so good if you believe in Family Values in a man should raise his family.. and be responsible for what children he brings to the world. Unfortunately one of the larger part of the tour is how they brag members of the band had a lot of children with a lot of different women.

Very enjoyable experience! Loads of photos and interesting artifacts and history that I had not seen before (and I'm a huge Bob Marley fan!). The part that really made is was the staff - from the young man at the front entrance to the lovely folks at the cafe and ticket desk - and Shamara (sp? sorry!) was an AMAZING guide - great energy, fun and an excellent singer herself. What a great experience all around - highly recommend!

Was a good tour Guide seemed like a bit of a rookie and nervous. There could have been some live music incorporated into the tour itself in a creative way. The Legend spoke for himself though with the life he lived.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of Bob Marley, but it was part of my day tour itinerary. Holy cow, the entrance fee for this tiny little "museum" is about twice as much as the Louvre. You'll get an overly energetic guide to take your around to different rooms to look at photographs. There's nothing special about the inside, and the stories they tell can be read on wikipedia. Way over-rated.

My mother was attacked and robbed outside the museum by a man on a motorcycle. She was holding my daughter's hand. I could have lost my family. This needs to stop. If you see a man pull up on a side walk on a motorcycle please be aware he pretends he's waiting for traffic..I hope I can help to protect another family.

This museum was awesome! Very informative about the details of a largely underappreciated individual in Bob Marley. Seen much of his childhood, transition to music fame and influence, where the music was created, as well as where he laid his head and rested plaques and trophies. Much is known of Bob's Music but little is known of his backstory, and this tour helps to fill in much of that to know more of The Man Behind the Music and the legend. Only slightly inconvenient occurrence is that pictures cannot be taken, period, under any circumstances unless you're outside of the house. Staff on site is very in-character and very knowledgeable and courteous, as well as 2 guys working the small drink bar located outside. Excellent tour that I would have to recommend to anyone that is familiar with Bob Marley or wants to know and understand his impact more

Can't say enough about this place. It is kept authentic, just like when Bob lived there. It is an amazing experience to do the tour with the wonderful guides. It is well organized and maintained and I love the natural juices that Viva makes.delicious! So much to learn about the icon Bob Marley here. Great place and great people! A must do.

Great experience, it was really great to see how and where he lived during an important time in his life. It was really impressive and overwhelming to see what he achieved and believed in during his lifetime. The place he got shot and the bullet holes from that day because of.. Well let's not tell it all, just go and enjoy the tour!

I was visiting some friends in Kingston who live there so we were looking for some things to do with our children. We were considering taking our children to the Bob Marley Museum. The website advertised that students of Jamaica would be eligible to pay a rate of $5. Because my friend's children were only ages 5 and 7 she asked if she could show there report cards or something else as proof that they were students in Jamaica because the schools in Jamaica do not issue student ID cards for these age groups. They're response was that since they didn't have student ID's that they would have to pay the full price. What a scam! I don't know any school, in Jamaica or in the U. S. that issues student ID's for children before high school. We ended just taking the kids to another place of interest that day.

You know most of what they show you due to his high media profile (still), but there's nothing quite like going through his front door or walking into his recording studio. Of course the bedrooms are converted into something else as part of the tour, but you get a sense of scale of things. For someone who was not materialistic, there's a lot of material. A must visit for followers, and highly interesting for those who are not.
Note: tourist prices apply to all things, as they do elsewhere on the island. Buying a t-shirt from his house has more kudos than buying it from the mall.

This place wasn't my cup of tea, but I still feel like you shouldn't visit Kingston without visiting Bob's house.

Just as a heads up, the tours here are not what one might expect from a typical museum tour. They're more like a vacation tour in that it's very high energy, interactive, with singing etc. It is also pretty expensive all around.

They don't let you take any pictures inside the house which I don't understand as it is nothing very special. The only part left "untouched" is his bedroom and a small kitchen. All the other rooms are empty with posters hanging on the wall. The tour is too long, I'd much rather have an audioguide and tour the house at you own pace. Everything is made to make you spend more money. I'd recommend it only to true fans.

We had such a great time visiting Bob Marley's house in Kingston. The murals around the house are beautiful. Be sure to take plenty of pictures there because you can't take any inside. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour took about an hour and 20 minutes. The amount of history inside is incrediblehis Grammy.albumsclothingstudioeverything is there. We got hustled into buying an overpriced CD from Bongo. Lol. The only downside was that after suggesting that everyone tip him at the end of the tour as we were signing the guest book the guide came over and said, "What? No tip?" He got a smaller one than he would have because of that. Let people tip, don't demand it.

Ricky Chapman was our tour guide and he killed. Entertaining and factual.

The property is large and the tour takes quite awhile.

The gift shop is amazing.

Visit the home Bob Marley recorded at. Check out where he was shot, where he made meals, the steps he gave money away on. Learn about his life. The tour guides are fun and offer tons of info. $25 USD for adult entry. + a tip for you guide if you wish. Its just a nice thing to do. And that whole Kingston isn't safe thing is far from the truth. Go during the day and keep your head up like you would in any major city. We were welcomed with open arms by plenty of friendly local people.

Very informative tour giving a history lesson on Bob Marley's early life to his death at his residence in Jamaica. Tour guide Stephan was very knowledgeable and kept the tour fun and interesting. View artifacts such as Bob's Grammy, Platinum records, original Tuff Gong recording studio and paraphernalia from tours around the globe. Highly recommended to everyone.

I went to the Bob Marley Museum for the 1st time in my entire life of living in Jamaica, and it was a nice experience. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his information, and it was an amazing experience to be in the house of one of the greatest musicians of all time. I would recommend it especially to die hard Bob Marley fans. I hope they continue to enrich the tour with more interactive elements, but there were some facts I didn't know that were cool to hear about. If in Kingston, it's definitely a stop you need to make.
