Remarkable nature view. Great tourist location.

This is a challenging hike, not for the faint of heart. It was raining and very cold throughout our hike. Be sure to carry warm clothes and rain gear. There is now a pay station at Portland Gap camp site, where a ranger collects $200 jmd from residents and $20 USD from foreigners (wow, way too expensive for the experience, it's almost offensive). It would be nice to see the Tourism Enhancement Fund actually invest some of these entrance fees into the trail. There was lots of rubbish and a busted up building at the peak, plus 2 pit latrines. The trail itself is suffering from erosion, and the signage needs to be scrubbed clean. Overall we enjoyed our hike, even in the poor weather conditions, but I'm not sure we would do it again.

It's a beautiful but difficult journey. It took us 4 hours to get to the peak because we started before the actual trail. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

Beautiful nature and amazing view during the sunrise in the morning hours. This tour should be part of your Jamaica trip!

Great attraction spent entire day there. Drank some amazing coffee, met people visited local school. Views are breathtaking. If you're in Jamaica it is a must have attraction. At the end make sure you'll take refreshing dip in to the river and admire waterfalls.

Had a wonderful time. Made it in time for sunrise. Stunning views and freezing cold. Dress warmly.
