Design for us is an experimental pursuit of meaningful composition of forms, shapes, lines, colours, light and shadow in such a way as to positively arouse the emotions and intellect thereby ameliorating lifestyle and culture. This is the realization of architecture and it brings great joy. We are at a time when we have become desensitized because we have experienced so much, we have realized so much. The possibility to realize more innovative an unique ideas seems unlikely and useless but had the great thinkers of the past been held down by such frustration and had they been reluctant to embrace the notion of finding out what's new, countering ignorance, then what we now know as great innovations would not have been realized. The challenge then for this generation of desensitized thinkers is to appreciate the past without being stifled by custom and embrace experimentation with the aim of gaining new epiphanies. We are challenged to not be limited my custom and tradition but to be brave enough to walk into the darkness of the unknown that we may shed light there. There is nothing new under the sun as King Solomon asserted and we thus agree and conclude that what is new has always been in existence, hid in the dark until we find it. Archipiphany seeks to search in the dark and not lay down in the light.
