As a big rum fan booking this tour was a no brainer for tour guide (sorry forgot her name) was helpful, polite and engaging. r me. However this was an a excellent tour as my wife who is not a rum fan really enjoyed the tour. It was educational and fun. The highlights were the practical demonstration of how to make rum, the rum tasting lesson and the pit stops to taste the beautiful Appleton's rum cocktails. Word of advice make sure you have a good breakfast first.

Lots of rum tasters along the way, the food buffet at the end was lovely.

The tour is a lot of fun, especially in a group. It starts with their signature rum punch (there's no fruit in this punch) which is made with Appleton rum and has Berry Hill in it.
Be careful not to drink too much before you start the tour!
The grounds are beautiful with many great places to take great pictures. There are even peacocks that may oblige you by spreading their feathers! The history of the factory and the rum making process is quite fascinating and it's nice to see elements of the past and take part in how things used to be done (including juicing your own cane)!
The factory tour is interesting in itself - you get a good idea of what goes into the rum making process (it's a lot more complicated than you would think to get that blend just right)!
After the tour, you head to the tasting room! This is where you should save space for! You get to try out most of the alcoholic products from the factory including their line of liqueurs (Berry Hill - the pimento liqueur - is my personal favorite, although the coffee flavour is also very nice). You also try a variety of rums, although not the very aged ones like the 50 year old. If you want to buy a sample of what you've tasted to take home or give to a friend - the gift shop is right there opposite the tasting room.
You can even pre-arrange your group trip and have lunch there.
All in all - a must see and do!

I always suggest a spirits tour wherever you go. This allows you to learn something nearly all cultures have in common, but how each culture and country does it different. This estate was nice and tour was informative.

The tour begins with a free rum cocktail, which in my opinion is a great way to start any tour. I am a rum drinker, and 21 Year Old Appleton Rum just happens to be one of my favourites, so it was great to see how my favourite tipple was made.

The interactive tour maintains a high level of interest, and the tour guide is very entertaining.

The prices in the gift shop are surprisingly very competitive. You may just be lucky enough to purchase a rare find here.

This is a must! The 2-3 hour drive there was an experience in itself!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, we got to try a variety of their rums.
It was decently priced in my opinion as well!
Before you start the tour, they offer as much rum punch as you can drink! Very friendly and welcoming!
