Keep climbing and go inside to find spectacular views. You can also pay to go to the top of the tower, but the highest free level is very nice.

Monumento al primer rey de Italia! A los romanos no suele gustarle mucho porque dicen que parece una torta de casamiento. A mi parecer es majestuoso y merece la pena visitarlo

It is insane how big and tall this monument is. It's free to go up and walk around. The last bit to the far top can only be done with an elevator, which costs 7€. Great views from everywhere though.

I think this is what locals refer to, disdainfully, as the "typewriter". Many locals feel this monument is out of place & ugly, but as a visitor, I personally feel it is beautiful & majestic.
