Carolyn and I finally realized a dream we've had ever since we first climbed up to Torre di Palme from the autostrada seven years ago to investigate what looked like a fairy tale village perched high above the Adriatic just south of the Porto San Giorgio / Fermo exit. We enjoyed a beautiful, romantic dinner and a perfect night's rest at Torre di Palme B&B on June 14-15, 2013. The pasta is made daily by Patrizia's mother, and the dish was as good as any we've had in Italy. The beef specialty was also delightful. At this time of year you dine on their terrace with a panoramic view of the sea and fields with Ancona at the distant northern horizon. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully furnished and equipped. Everything about the meal, our room, the setting, the attentive service, and the immaculately preserved village was perfect. Patrizia is ably assisted by Antonella, who speaks perfect English and has traveled and worked in many places. Although it's only 2-1/2 hours from our home in Molise, Carolyn and I will find reasons to repeat this experience frequently.
