  Intimo ed accogliente, ottima e tranquilla posizione in collina, camera spaziosa e linda, con ampia terrazza affacciata al tramonto!
  Colazione eccellente, con un indimenticabili centrifughe di frutta fresca (introvabili altrove!), dolci e marmellate fatti in casa, ecc

  We loved our stay at Poggio Antico! After one week there, my wife and I agreed we could have stayed another week.. Francesco and Alessandro took wonderful care of us. Some of our best memories from our three weeks in Italy this year include having a Negroni and spritz with tarale poolside every night and watching the incredible sunsets from their great location. Also, it was very nice having a few very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We definitely hope to return.
  (After ferrying our car over and braving the roads up and down the "mountain," I would recommend allowing them to arrange your travel from the mainland to their place and renting from them if you need to get around or use their house car.)

  A secluded chic boutique hotel hidden up in the hills near Forio on Ischia. We enjoyed two comfortable nights here. There's a lovely pool (not heated though, so it still being May, we had a momentary bracing dip before retreating back to our sunbeds), and a jacuzzi. Every room has a private sea facing balcony which is great for a sunset aperitivo. A fare selection at breakfast (some hot eggs/sausage which you don't always get in Italy), as well as lots of the usual sweet pastries. A very good service the hotel offers is a complimentary shuttle service between Forio and the hotel between 9am and 6pm, as unless you hire your own transport, the place is pretty inaccessible. Also, another plus is that there are three nice dinner options within walking distance of the hotel, so you don't need to necessarily get a taxi into town in the evening which we were told would be around a EUR 30 round trip.
