very good location just opposite of train station. and 2 min walk to shopping district. many restaurant around
So far I am not impressed. I checked-in and got a room upgrade (I already had an "executive" room) for an additional fee - the upgraded room is nice, large, but has a horrible view, at chest height, of an ugly roof/courtyard area, and it is fairly expensive on the order of $200 a night. Lunch was very good but it was rushed - the restaurant was open from noon (I think) to exactly 2 o'clock - the waiters, as gracious and as professional as they were, were eager to get out of there. I spend about $100 for a fine lunch, got a bottle of wine and I felt as if I was rushed, not comfortable to finish and to linger over my meal. Internet is included but apparently not high speed Internet (that was part of the "upgrade"). The room I intially booked, the "executive" room, for 200 bucks a night, included Wi-Fi, but apparently not the best Wi-Fi available in hotel, without the need of an upgrade. I would not call this 4-star hotel I'd call it a 3 star that has a tawdry marketing scheme that lacks pricing transparency. And I do understand the realities of living and having a business in a large metropolitan area where costs are high - but so far it's very disappointing. (Footnote: the management switched to a me a very nice room with a street view. I appreciate that, but stand by my original impression. As a follow-on comment my internet (the high speed package I'm paying extra for) has several sites blocked, I can't get full functionality from Amazon Prime or my VPN. So in essence, I am paying 20 euro a night for an upgrade to my previous executive room for the premium WiFi, without full functionality.)
the hotel is nice and the rooms are much better than the standard. very close to the central train station. i liked the breakfast.
A hotel with an old fashion European style. The reception guys are very nice and helped us with some questions concerning the trains. We could only check in at 14:00 but we left our luggage and it waited in our room when we returned. Average breakfast. Not much space at the dining room. Clean and tidy room. So is the bath room.
Really nice hotel with fair price for the offer. Nice and comfortable rooms, really big shower, and a complete and variegated breakfast. My only gripe is the parking. The only parking solution they offer is for 25€ at night. For a one night guest it's really too much.
Great hotel. Would have liked a coffee machine at breakfast
Very friendly people, thank you for the upgrade, it was a pleasure staying in your hotel, great breakfast. See you again
Nice and clean. Breakfast in the average. Smooth check-in and check-out. Very nice staff.
This is my fourth or fifth stay at StarHotels Majestic and they have all been great. This year, I was upgraded to an interior junior suite. The room was large, comfortable, and quiet. The welcome at the front desk was great with much improved English skills. Breakfast continues to be excellent, although service was a bit more detached than at prior stays. Internet worked well. Two minor issues: 1) water pressure was excellent at the sink but suboptimal in the shower and 2) the water reservoir of the in-room espresso maker leaked. These minor quibbles aside, I really enjoy this hotel.
Very good hotel. Modern and new. Good bathroom and shower. Hardly any noises from your neighbors. Breakfast is sufficient for this price. Very good location in the center. Close to public transport.
