Bellissima fuori ma anche dentro, da visitare assolutamente
This beautiful gothic cathedral is a must-see in Lucca. With a stunning façade outside and also many great things to see inside, especially the ceiling
(3€ to enter) unless you live in Lucca or in Tuscany.
Outstanding facade and sculpture on the narthex. The impressive interior is filled with beautiful works by Matteo Civitali, including the Tempietto del Volto Santo, and paintings by Giovanni Battista Paggi, Alessandro Allori, Fra Bartolomeo, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Passignano and Tintoretto amongst orhers. Don’t miss viewing Jacopo della Quercia’s beautiful Funerary Monument to Ilaria del Carretto (1406-08) in the Sacristy.
I like the facade of this church which is unique to this church also. The numerous pillars and arches in front makes it really amazing.
Lucca Cathedral is a typical Italian duomo internally but more of Gothic design than others we have visited, not unlike St. Michael's chiesa or others in Lucca but on a grander scale.
Very beautiful and worth a visit.
You have to go inside it's magnificent.
Very photogenic cathedral with a specific "double-coloured" architecture.
Beautiful place. Having a wine and enjoying the splendour.
Beautiful Cathedral and the view of the Lucca from the tower was incredible. Excellent museum as well.
Very impressive cathedral, but entrance is 4 EUR. Tower is under construction so it wastes the view.
Nice, but being renovated so you cannot experience the 'original' view
