    Stay away from this place!!

Me and my friend went to this place to rent a scooter each for 5 days, the woman (Roberta) who rented us the scooters was very nice and promised us stuff. Such as if we come back after 2 days and return the scooters we will get our money back for 3 days. So we came back the second day and wanted to return only one scooter, obviously they wouldn't return our money back because we paid with a credit card and not cash. From my experience I've got money back on my credit card many many times. Her colleague Paulo was there to back her up regarding this, we had'nt seen him from our earlier visits to the shop. When he gave us the news that we couldn't get our money back he did it with a very cold look and said something about the contract says they can't return money. Although they didn't show us where in the contract it said so, we asked for it at least two times. Anyway we thought what the hell we'll keep both scooters and won't ruin our vacation in Olbia.

The last and 5th we went to return the scooters and they told us they needed to look at the scooters for damage. One of the scooters was damaged from before. Now regarding damages Roberta at the disk told us to take photos of the damages if there was any, and so we did. They claimed I did the damages. I showed them the photos I took of the damages the same time we got the scooters from the shop. But they didn't buy it and still claimed I did the damages. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unrespectful, they got very aggressive and started yelling. They demanded we should pay for this, I was against it but my kindly friend thought we didn't need to waste our vacation fighting so we should pay. And so we did. 470 EUR for damages, we didn't even do. Just renting the bikes costed 380 EUR.

So we paid more for damages (we didn't do) then the scooters. That's a totalt of 850 EUR. This is a very sofisticated to rob people is what I've learned by my trip to Olbia. This ruined our whole vacation, we hadn't enough money left to do other stuff. This has also scarred me for life, beacuse of the unfriendly and unrespectful people at Seabounty I'll never return to Olbia or Sardinia. They made me hate my life by doing this to us.

As a conclusion, don't even think about visiting Seabounty, learn from our mistake! They will scam you for a lot of money! Go to another rental place and save yourself a lot of money to enjoy your vacation!

Very nice staff and fair price. The bicycles are equipped with lower quality parts but I can fully recommend this rental service. The bikes was nearly new.

Would recommend avoiding this rental. They rented my partner and I two bicycles at at a relatively fair price. Halfway through our cycle my partner realised she had a flat tyre and the gear shift lever on my bike broke, showing that maintenance is not up to bar at Sea Bounty. Upon returning the bikes and explaining the problems we had to the staff they became quite rude and disrespectful. They demanded we find means to repair the bikes ourselves our they would deduct €200 from our bank account (even though their poorly translated liability waiver states that the lessor would replace non-functioning equipment). When trying to explain this to the staff they became very dismissive. We ended up fixing the flat tyre ourselves and having to buy a new gear shift lever for substantially higher than the price of the rental bikes. Upon returning the repaired bikes we were hastily dismissed.

This company will rent poorly maintained vehicles to tourists and expect the tourist to pay for the maintenance they willfully neglect.

I recommend looking for another rental in Olbia (there are many) or thoroughly inspect your vehicle before deciding on the gamble that is hiring from Sea Bounty.

Me and my partner decided to rent two bikes in August 2016 for the price of €35. Half way through our journey, we were both forced to stop as a result of two faults:

My partners bike: his gear shift lever was wobbly and ended up falling off completely and there was no way he could assemble it back on. We were too far from the rental place so he decided to cycle the rest of the journey on gear 9 (it was locked in that gear).

My bike: the front tyre deflated and we constantly had to stop to pump it up.

Upon ending our journey, we went back to the rental place and returned the bikes. Of course, we explained what happened to the gear lever and that it was not our fault. The bike my partner rented was obviously broken and he only discovered that when he wanted to change gears. The man responded by saying "well I think it's best you go to the bike shop and get it fixed". We were absolutely shocked as we didn't expect that we would be the ones to pay for the damage. I said I would return my bike now to which he agreed. However, as we walked away to fix my partners bike, the man runs up to me to say the tyre on my bike is burst (to which I was oblivious). Luckily, my partner was able to fix the tyre himself but his gear lever cost him €55.

Because this occurred on a Saturday and we had to come back on the Monday (bike shop was not open on a Sunday) we decided to negotiate with them the situation and say that the bikes were already broken. The lady could not understand what we were saying and was really really rude to us. All in all, we had a stressful two days and unfortunately had to fix their rubbish bikes with our OWN money.

If you want to rent bikes, at all costs DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE because if your bikes brake half way through your journey, you will end up having to pay for the damages.

We are very disappointed with this rental company as it seems they do not care about their customers. It is a joke that tourists who use their services end up having to pay for their maintenance.

We have rented two bikes for few days in May. I have sent an email to reserve bikes 2 days before our trip. Stuff was very responsive and replied extremely quickly to my email regarding bikes. Once in Olbia, bikes were waiting for us as promised. We got lovely, almost new bikes + tube repair kit + locks + pump. If you are looking for competitive prices and high-quality service look no further. I would recommend Sea Bounty Tourist Services without hesitation.
