Food very Bad. Chef needs to learn to clean seafoods properly before cooking..! Extraordinary & Great Ambience and Lovely Polite Staff.

Great garden to have a dinner few steps from Vatican City . Not to many options on terrace to order from but very good food but quiet and safe to let children to wander around freely in the garden downtown Rome.

Made a reservation for this restaurant via email, after reading good reviews. We were running late by 20 minutes and I notified the hotel about this, an hour before we were originally meant to be there.
Got there and waited 10 minutes to speak to the waiting staff. Two of them were walking around doing absolutely nothing and the restaurant only had three tables with guests (it wasn't busy at all). We approached the desk and told them that we have a reservation, the woman there replied "I don't know. Just wait". She then stood there looking into thin air. All the other tables weren't made and despite making the reservation 2 weeks in advance (at the behest of the hotel), no arrangements were made for us.
We sat down in a lounge area by ourselves and looked at the nice frescoes and art work but that got boring after waiting a further 10 minutes with no sign of any waiting staff.
We asked another woman (waitress) when our table would be ready and she just shrugged her shoulders at us. We walked out at this point.
We made a complaint and nothing was done about it. Disgusting display of customer service.
Very disappointed and this review is based on the restaurant's lack of organisation and lack of customer service.response / report this review -

This was so disappointing because I was really looking forward to enjoying this restaurant. I give this two stars because the food was good (although a little pricey for the portion) and the restaurant was beautiful. The service was terrible. We were basically ignored and our carbonara took 25 minutes to come out. We asked for fruit but even that took over fifteen minutes and we just told the waitress that we didn't want it anymore. Everything took much longer than it should have and the staff was unapologetic. If you are in a rush or expect good service, I advise you to go elsewhere.

Wonderful building and terrace to admire. The food was delicious. Worth going for the experience when you enjoy the period buildings and calm and refined environment. The service should be better as it drags the whole experience down.. Especially as there are so many options to compare to.
