The food was fine but the service was poor. A starter came with the other mains and the sides came with the last main which was disappointing.

I ordered fungchi porcini which is grilled mushroom, €15 for 6 small slices, astonishingly unreasonable, and the most important part is it tastes not fantastic at all. Also ordered omelet (€10), tastes ok but no worth of the money.

Abbiamo cenato presso questo ristorante appena fuori le mura del centro storico di Pienza. La piccola sala in cui abbiamo trovato posto (non avendo prenotato, il sabato sera, ci è anche andata bene) era un po' antiquata, direi anche piuttosto opprimente, per via delle finestre coperte da grandi tende. È molto più gradevole la sala principale. C'è poi una zona all'aperto, ben curata. Del servizio, in compenso, si può dire solo bene. Veloce, oltretutto. La cucina è quella tipica, toscana. Non c'è quindi tanta fantasia, ma di certo non viene mai a noia. Il livello della cucina è discreto. Ho trovato solo un po' troppo salati i pici al ragù di cinghiale. Il conto, invece, non è eccessivamente salato, direi nella media.

Posto accogliente pulito la titolare gentile e disponibile piatti favolosi tutti da provare dagli antipasti ai primi ai secondi e ai dolci rigorosamente fatti da loro .lo consiglio calorosamente.

A hidden gem!
About 10 years ago we found this little gem., nowadays it's more crowded.
You know when you're in the right spot, when you find mostly locals for lunch or dinner. Dal Falco is that place.
For starters I can only think of one thing. Gnocchi bolognese. These Gnocchi are the best you'll find in Italy. Other starters are great as well, but I'll stick to the Gnocchi.
All mains are delicious, as well as all desserts!response / report this review
