Fixed lunch menu is excellent value given the quality and central location: 15 euros for a glass of wine and two courses. Cacio e pepe was nearly perfect. The other dishes - mushroom risotto, and seabass with tomatoes and potatoes - were also excellent. Service friendly and attentive. Located on a rather characteristic and quiet sidestreet.

Very good place with lunch menu for 15 euro (1st, 2nd, vine, water incl). The regular menu included good fish and meat

    Food was okay. Service
was. 8:00 pm Sunday nightOnly 2 tables full. House
white wine was garbage. Sent it back. No dish was a stand out. I sorry to say I would not go back. There were 2 restaurants right next door that were full that we had wished we had gone to. This restaurant needs to improve the quality of their food.

Amazing food quality. They start the meal by giving a glass of sparkling wine. Everything is fair priced, and the atmosphere is soothing. It is a great place to go on a date or with family.

THE FOOD: excellent. Had the lunch menu with the seafood linguine (absolutely amazing) and the swordfish (ok).

    THE SERVICE: very friendly

THE RESTAURANT: typical Italian, small and charming with background music

Good food, affordable prices. Book in advance as it is pretty busy.

Very disappointing visit, we sat down because 3 dishes of the "Chef's recommendations" special menu caught our eyes. But "coincidently" all three were out on a Sunday night and not very late. Worst, they only told us after serving the wine so we couldn't even get up and go elsewhere. Food we got was ok but nothing outstanding. The place is beautiful though.

This was THE BEST PASTA WE HAD OUR ENTIRE TRIP. My only regret going here for our first dinner was that every meal following had high expectations to live up to. The whole dining experience was perfect, from the complimentary soup at the beginning of the meal to an additional complementary lemon cello digestif. Our waitress was outstanding, she was extremely friendly and provided great recommendations on which wine and main dishes to order. The truffle pasta was the BEST we had all trip, it had a healthy serving of shaved black truffles overly a perfectly creamy pasta. If I was going to recommend one place to visit while in Rome, it would be La Tavernetta 48.

AMAZING!! Found this place on Yelp and I was not disappointed at all, I was actually quit surprise. Came here TWO nights in a row because the food was so good. The staff and decor are very nice, has a romantic feel to it. We were greeted with 2 glasses of prosseco. Our first visit, we had the bruschetta with tomatoes, carbonara, cacio de pepe and tiramisu. The bruschetta was great, the tomatoes were ripe and juicy with a good amount of olive oil, salt and pepper. My carbonara was by far the best I ever had! Pasta was cooked perfect, al dente with a copious amount of bacon and cheese. The cacio de pepe was great as well. Tiramisu was also good.

Our second visit we had the bruschetta again, my gf's favorite, clams which were well seasoned and huge portion size. For our entrees, I had the ravioli and my gf had the gnocchi. The ravioli were okay, some pieces weren't cooked, the gnocchi was better. Overall this place is great and definitely my favorite restaurant in Rome. I'll be back!

The service here was very good and the staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I ordered "first course" dishes as I wasn't in the mood for meat or fish, which comprise almost every dish in the "second course" category.

The eggplant Parmesan was the best I've ever had, coming from America and having eaten this same dish many times in restaurants there. I would highly recommend eating this here, and I think it was so great because of the olive oil base. The stuffed ravioli with spinach and risotto wasn't bad but wasn't anything special, and I wouldn't recommend ordering this as your meal.

The espresso wasn't bad but not great, and there is also free wifi.
