Beautiful area in Trieste, just outside the city center. Barcola area is filled with lovely resturants, but on the oceanfront in between the pine trees, you will find some very nice areas for drinks and chill. Complemented with a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.

Nice place where you can relax. Here you can lay in the shadow or swim in the sea. there are public restrooms but you have to pay to use them. if you need there are some coffee shops. however you must be carefull because sometimes thiefs steal you backpak when you move

Altough the beach is more an improvisation aka lying down on hot pavement , the air is so pure and filled with pine aroma, general atmosphere is very relaxed, there are tons of inexpensive caffes and restaurants nearby , the water is nice and deep. Strongly recommend if you're visiting Trieste

Amazing park with entertainment and coffee "kiosks" but not a great place to go sunbathing and swimming.

if you are looking for a nice place for running,doing picnic or pass a nice time with friends and family it is the best place. it is also amazing for relaxing(of course when it is not crowded)

Beautiful park in front of the sea, with the possibility of enjoying great views without the need to go so far from the city.

One of the favourite spots for locals to relax, bath in the sea and have an aperitivo. Relatively clean and has public toilets. Nice playground for kids. I recommend the kiosk next to the big round fountain

Nice place to relax and swim without going too far from Trieste (you can easily reach it by bus).
It's not exactly comfortable to lay down on the pedestrian road and there's no proper beach, but you can easily get into the sea by means of some stairs along the road.
The park is nice and it offers pretection from the sun in the hottest hours.
The are some bars across the street and a chiringuito at the beginning to have a beer.response / report this review -

The locally famous urban pine grove of Barcola. A shaded place for kids, pensioners, dogs, frisbee throwers, volleyball players, and slackline walkers.
