This place was a very moving experience for me. It perhaps was a highlight of visiting the entire beautiful city here. What moved me was the personal picture of Ms. Guggenheim that I felt. And it was touching to look at and read some of the personal pictures and notes from prominent artists to her.

A "who's who" of modern abstract art, incredible collection. Good audio guide. Not so large as to be overwhelming, although even off peak (in October) there were a lot of people and it felt a little crammed. Lovely garden and cafe. Recommended.

Very interesting collection. Particularly those who like interpreting abstract art. A lot of the collection needed the right mindset to indulge the artists..
It was a good and pleasant experience. I'd advise the physical or audio guide to provide more information during the tour.

Not the best modern art museum. Recommend if you aren’t an art fan and want to learn more and get a good snapshot of contemporary and modern art. Beautiful building and views of the canal.

Nice little gallery, you can see the whole thing without getting footsore. The house & grounds are a beautiful setting for the paintings and sculptures. The surreal & abstract art are interesting for the uninitiated.

Situated in a nice corner of Venice (they're all nice).

Excellent range of modern sculpture and artwork. Shows a range of exhibitions which add to each trip. Nice restaurant as well as guided tours which add to understanding. Interesting sculpture looking over the grand canal. Must See!

Fantastic collection of contemporary/modern cubist, surrealist and abstract art. Absolutely loved the fascinating temporary exhibition which doesn't cost additionally to your entry ticket. Discounted price for students. Good layout and lovely terrace overlooking the canal to take a sit down half way through. Informative plaques. No queue for entry even in the height of August tourist season. Lovely cafe and gift shop too.

I'm not a big fan of modern art but the place is really really nice! Lovely garden, amazing terrace to sit and watch the grand canal from! Even the museum café is lovely and not over priced.
Is all that worth the entrance fee though? Can't say. But kids go free. So if you're travelling with someone who wants to go there but you don't like modern art you can still enjoy the site instead of waiting outside or something.

The temporary Mark Tobey exhibition was very good, as was the sculpture garden. I wasn't as much a fan of the surrealist-heavy permanent collection, just from personal preference.

The cafe has table service, the bathrooms well maintained and the building and grounds are in beautiful condition.

Would recommend a visit, though do check what the temporary exhibition is in order to get full value from your ticket!

Hands down one of the best modern art collections I've ever seen. Some very unusual works by Rothko, Magritte and Klee just to name a few. Many of the artists who were personal friends of Guggenheim are featured prominently like Pollock and Calder.

A fascinating edgy collection, plan to get there early to avoid the crowds. Take time to enjoy the view on The Grand Canal. Wish yourself living there in another life.

An engaging collection from a number of notable artists. The outside spaces are beautiful, even in bad weather. The space is compact and gets busy quickly - we recommend arriving early to see some pieces in a quieter atmosphere. It would have been great to have more information about each piece or Peggy herself in the way of a guide, but without a doubt a definite must-visit.

One of my favourite museums/collections that I've seen anywhere in the world. Very nicely selected pieces and laid out in a nice fashion. The location itself is lovely with a great view and patio out onto the canal.

15 euro unless 65+ then 13. Written guide is 5 euro, audio guide is 7 euro. I got audio guide and would recommend written. It was crowded. There are sofas to linger in some rooms but mainly house is small and you are standing on top of the artworks. Be sure to walk outside on terrace facing canal and linger in patio. I wish I had time to have a coffee and absorb the atmosphere in the café but did buy wonderful earrings and souvenirs in gift shop. Memorable visit.
