BEAUTIFUL AND ARTISTIC SIMPLICITY
Once we first stepped opened our room's door, my wife immediately fell in love with it! I have to admit that it took me a little longer. Indeed, for the high price we paid in late summer (high tourist season), I expected a more modern and luxurious room.
This all changed after our first night there though. Once the sun rose and we experienced the amazing view from our balcony, it suddenly all made sense: we were in Positano, a small charming town on the Amalfi Coast. Therefore, I realized it wasn't about the jacuzzis and marble walls that we were accustomed at the Ws, Westins and Shangri-La. This was about enjoying sheer beautiful simplicity and that hotel did a great job at offering just that.
Besides, the manner in which they decorated the place with dozens of colorful paintings and murals added confers this hotel a LOT of character and personality !
The only thing we truly hated was their breakfast. If you have the option of NOT including it in your booking, please do so. Except for their espresso beverages, everything served was of very cheap quality.
Overall, we still enjoyed our three days there very much. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the views are just memorable !!! Vividly recommended !response / report this review -

Buongiorno!
I didn't want to leave. I chained myself to the decorative iron balcony handrail and refused to leave this amazing place. They should put a bed on the balcony because I could sleep there so I can catch the amazing sunsets and wake up to the best sunrise anywhere in the world. With such amazing view of the Mediterranean, you'll never be inside the room, so who cares what the actual hotel is like? I rememberbluethat's it.
If you're ever lucky enough to travel to south Italy make sure you make a trip along the Amalfi coastline to small quaint towns hanging on the cliffside such as Positano and Amalfi. Your lazy American legs will be so buff after because there are almost no elevators anywhere in this cliff side town. The hotel does have an elevator but it's so slow you might as well climb the cliff to get to your room. Wake up, catch breakfast down in the lobby and explore. Life is too short. The most amazing town I've ever been to.

The view from my balcony was amazing even though I took this picture on a cloudy day. The front desk receptionist that day (Tony) was extremely welcoming and really helped us make our stay wonderful. I was only there for one night and definitely regret not staying longer. Certainly recommend and will be back.

My wife and I stayed here for a week, and had a wonderful time. Tony, Enzo, and Jimmy are great guys and do a wonderful job. Tony goes out of his way to help you, and gave us some exceptional dinner places and helped us get set up. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Pasitea (Positano art hogel). The rooms were clean and comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the amazing balcony view. From my view, it looks like all the hotel balconies have a table and lounge chair. It was a great place to have a glass of wine before going to dinner. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel provides a great breakfast selection. My favorite part was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Overall it is a great place to stay for a fair price. I hope to stay again!
