As a tourist I thought this park was awesome. It had everything, beautiful scenery, dog park, ghetto outdoor gym and even some farms with chickens and ducks
Thank God for this park. A huge natural area for people to stroll, bike, relax, children to run and play, and sheep to be herded. Who knew. Sign postings, including informational panels about the flora and fauna, are in Italian and English.
Unlandscaped recreational park with farm produce, historical sites and bike paths. Popular with mountain bikers.
The best wild park in Rome, it looks like you are in the countryside while you are just few minutes from the colosseum.
Huge park in the city center, offers diverse locations, including views of Roman ruins, Rome ancient city walls, etc. Has a dedicated area for dogs. It's a perfect place to walk, jog, do biking or simply relax. Although in recent years the keeping of the place has been dramatically improved, some benches around the park have unfortunately been vandalized, and it's not always easy finding a place to sit.
The Caffarella Park is a large park in Rome, Italy, It is part of the Parco Regionale Appia Antica (Appian Way Regional Park). The park is contained in the Caffarella Valley and is bordered on its northern side by the Via Latina and on its southern by the Appian Way.
Nice park but some areas are full of plastics
Appia Antica is a lovely relaxing walk away from the city centre. We went to Villa di Massenzio and walked around the ruins of the ancient stadium with very few other people. The catacombs were all really busy and are best avoided on public holidays.
Is simple park easy accessible by metro. If you want go for jogging or just stay in calm it is right place. From the south-east side there is nice view of Rome. Of course as everywhere in Rome there are some monuments, and ruins of property.
I just love to visit the park from time to time. great place for outdoors sport activity or a nice walk
Great park in the middle of a big city!
The better way to visit this Park is by bike.
Can highly recommend cycling tours of the Apian way. A little bumpy in places but was a fantastic experience
A beautiful calm space. Good for a walk with the dog or to go for jogging.
A big patk southern of Rome that you can reach easily within 20 minutes by subway and a bus.
