Locale tradizionale frequentato al 90% da triestini Doc. Ambiente familiare e molto curato. Piatti eccezionali, pesce freschissimo cucinato superbamente. Gli assaggini di sardoni sono un trionfo di sapori diversi pur utilizzando lo stesso pesce. Da non perdere se si vuole assaggiare la vera cucina locale.

I had a dinner in this restaurant with some colleagues. We were two Indian guys, one South Italian and one Serbian. We had heard that North Italians can be unfriendly towards foreigners and even to mediterraneans, but this time I experienced it personally. For the first course we had ordered pasta and got the smallest portions I've ever seen. The quality of food and preparation is good, but the price follows it. The table next to ours had exactly the same order as ours and got a decent amount of food, while our plates of pasta were three times smaller, without exaggeration. It was a bit awkward situation. We happen to be there on the working day and in the early evening, so the restaurant was almost empty. Nevertheless, the waiter put us in the last table in the furthest corner. We were extremely unsatisfied with the service. There were a number of reasons for us to feel badly hosted. At the end of our dinner no one asked us if everything was fine and if we were satisfied.

Authentic triestino seafood. Really delicious and - be aware - great portions! The staff is kind and helpful. Try an antipasto, a primo and for dessert ask a millefoglie (also known as crema carsolina).
