Poetry ! This year they also enriched the entrance with a georgeous flowering decoration , dreaming aura That ancient farmacy
There is an apothecary inside you can buy local vitamins Produced by local Farmers
And the fragrances are SO classy

It is very beautiful, no doubt. You have to go and enjoy your senses, a place with a long story. Packaging is very elegant but products are so expensive! You can find in Florence organic and very good health and beauty hand made products in other shops. I think it is just marketing for rich touristsbut you have to go there, at least once in your life!

This place was one of my favourites in florence ! A historic pharmacy still in service with all sorts of wonderful elixirs, alcohol's, soaps, medicine etc. beautiful decor and amazing to see. Visit the church next door too! Bought some great tablets!! You can try the alcohols In the tea room for a price and have some cake too. Make sure you see the whole place. Try Catherine de Medici's perfume too which they have.

The home of the Farmaceutica is very beautiful and the products are amazing. I've been purchasing their cologne for 25 years at stores in Florence, London, Madrid and Tokyo.

Nice display and exhibits some vintage perfumery tools and objects. Good to have a walk but the fragrances are so-so. All are eau de cologne , not parfum. Very touristy, But staff are kind and helpful.

Amazing shopthe athmosphire is fabtastic.there is a sacral aurea, and the scent is everywhere!!! Inside it's wondeful, it's like a museum, and the products are very good

Beautiful building and products but other reviews are correct about the attitude of the staff. I was looking forward to buying a perfume but the woman at the perfume counter ignored me three times when I attempted to get her attention. She looked straight at me, gave me a strained smile then greeted a customer walking up to the counter. I'm not Asian either, I'm white. It was very strange. I'll have to go back another day to buy my perfume.

Beautiful, but such rude clerks that I left without making my intended purchase. Very stuck up and snobby- and, no, it isn't "part of the experience" It's annoying.

Visiting this hidden place is equally an olfactory experience as it is a visual one.
I was taken here by a friend who knows and loves the place and their products and I was not disappointed.
Sure, paying 10 euros for a single bar of soap seems out of this world, but so does paying for a purse as much as you'd pay for a small car! Each woman has her pleasures and if your is fine fragrances, then you MUST visit Officina Profuma Farmaceutica Santa Maria Novella.
I assure you you will love it!
P.S.: I just read the other reviews and noticed that people compalin about the staff not being helpful (they really don't seem to try) and the prices not being shown. They are displayed at the entrance but it is embarrassing to keep going there or to ask for each product's price. Definitely not a place for the poor, though. :)response / report this review -

Now I am visiting Italy and have been here just layely. Some of the Italian employees were okay (literallyjust ok) but some were so rude to Asian customers The young, boy-looking, blond-long haired girl even registered an item that I did not order. The worse thing is that she seemed to have done so intentionally. I do not know why, but definitely I got that kind of impression because when she helped me choose some product, she seemed to laugh at me with her colleague next to her speaking Italian I don't understand Oh, I never want to visit this place and experience their offensive and rude attitude again :( This is my first time to visit Firenze and well, I am so disappointed about this city in several ways only except for the buildings, paintings and gelatto.
특히 피렌체 이 약국의 직원들중 일부는 참 mean하니 조심하세요, 제가 요청하지도 않은 물건을 등록해놓은 줄 모르고 결제했다가 억울하게 강매당했어요.. 환불 안되니, 불친절한 태도로 후루룩 계산하더라도 두번 세번 확인하시는게 좋아요..ㅜㅜ 동양인 은근히 무시하는 태도, 넘 실망해서 다신 안갈겁니다response / report this review -
