I Ioved this hotel. Yes it is maybe in need of a facelift but it has a beautiful found. The staff are lovely, especially the chap we met in reception. The breakfast was lovely and lots of food available. Gardens are wonderful. The room (502) was a little damp but one quick lash of the air conditioning cleared that! The shower head was not working which we asked at reception about but that did not get repaired. However, I think the positive far outweighed the negatives. I would definitely stay again.

Brilliant Base to stay. 10 minutes walk to train station through busy Street offering all sorts. Hotel is OK, as rooms go it has a lot to offer. Reception staff are very helpful and always go that extra to help. Breakfast was very good. Wide choice of continental foods. Poolside is lovely and well kept enjoyed time here and would come back if in area

An absolutely lovely hotel, excellent gardens and a very nice interior. Went for drinks, was fairly expensive but service was fast and surroundings were lovely.

Very nice hotel with excellent pool and huge gardens. Five minute walk to Herculaneum and 20 by train to Pompeii. Not a lot around hotel but would recommend Pizzeria Luna Caprese for a cheap and cheerful pizza

Location is great for visiting the archeologcal site. A beautiful hotel, lovely room & bathroom, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Gardens are magnificent and a real bonus after visiting Herculaneum on a hot day! Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, as was our waiter at dinner. Excellnt breakfast in beautiful elegant surroungings.

Great place to stay if you are not finicky about the neighborhood. It is not Miami Beach nor Studio City. You will be inmmerce in the Italian culture. It is a great location. Depending on your room you can see the Vesubio or Capri or maybe both. Rooms are clean and spacious. Some rooms have private balconies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can go in their garden and pick your fruits for the day. You can walk in their park and explore or read a book. And for the record, there are no pick-pocket thieves as the internet reported. When you go to Italy, become an Italian!!

Room to improve:
1 Our shower wouldn't close so water went everywhere when we showered.
2 WiFi wouldn't work in the room.
3 Balcony was Kinda scary. Felt like anyone could climb up and break in.
Positive qualities:
1 Staff was warm, polite, intelligent.
2 Grounds were unusual, interesting, unique.
3 You could feel the history.
4 Bed was comfortable.

Pretty nice hotel with large and convenient rooms. Front desk personal was really friendly and competent as well as capable of a decent English. Communication in English with the waiters of the restraurant was a bit difficult, though. Only downside I would say is the ragged park, which could be great otherwise! Same holds for the outward appearance of the hotel, but that fits the rest of the region.
