Really great hotel. The thermae was lovely. The wifi is not very good at all, which was extremely frustrating. Really good breakfast buffet with great variety, however in the breakfast room a woman comes at about 8:30 to play the piano, very loud, whoch we found very disturbing.

Here for 3 nights as first part of our 4 place tour of Southern Italy. We are in room 17 which is a cave room with city view. It is large and has a very comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast today was super. Typical style with lots of choices. Plenty to please everyone and with piano music accompanying it. View from our room is spectacular. Good location for exploring the Sassi.

This place is the most amazing place that I stayed in while on our tour! The room was so large and beautifully equipped. This is a must if you happen to be in this town!

Nice location in Matera, rooms are large and clean, built in the rocks with a beautiful view of the old city.

Hotel and spa located in the historic sassi district of Matera. Because it is made from several residences, there are many stairs to connect the variety of rooms. It is possible to take a cab or drive there. There is no wheelchair accesss. The rooms are of varying sizes and shapes, and are somewhat air-conditioned. Breakfast is included and has a good variety of foods. The pool and spa are quite lovely, as well as reasonably priced. They can book a massage for you. Enjoy the unique "rock cave" atomosphere.

Great place! uniquie town and this hotell have it all. Best breakfast buffé, pool and some rooms with great view we hade room 15 that have a great view. You can also drive your car up the hotel. They also park it for you (cost €5 extra + parking €15 /night)
One bad thing. No kids under 18 in pool even with parents :(response / report this review
