Nice and clean lido, beautiful panorama. Two pools, one for toddlers, one for the others. The staff was kind and friendly. Didn't eat there so no advice about the food or drinks. My 3 yo son had a great time and so do I.
Great location and cheap.food and drink. Entry is expensive but the lido isn't well policed so don't bother paying for all the extras
1. We arrived at 17:15 in the afternoon and were told that the place closes after 9pm. As a family of four we were charged 60 euros for entrance. We also had to pay for beds and swimming caps. That's ok. What is not ok - that after 30 minutes we were kicked out of the pool, because they close at 6pm!
2. We wanted to let the staff know that this is not ok,but we were rudely told off that we only paid half the price
3. The advertised slide is not there. You are not allowed to play ball or jump - takes loads of fun away from kids
4. Food expensive and of medium quality.
5. 20 minutes drive in any direction, you'll find much nicer, friendlier and cheaper lidos.
Restaurant with pool - pretty cool. Had some pizza and it was really nice.
One advice though - don't wait to be served, all the orders are to be placed at the bar!
Nice swimming pool and concrete platform into the lake. It wasn't too busy on the Tuesday in June that we visited but if it was crowded I imagine it wouldn't be so nice. We ate at the "self-service" bar rather than restaurant as a couple of euros cheaper. Not the best food and overpriced. Blaring European dance music was also not ideal. But brilliant views and great swimming made up for it.
great place to spend a few hours taking in the sights
Great pizza in a relaxed atmosphere
Beautiful location, we ate in a nice table in front of the lake.
we took two pizza, carrettiera and trapanese. They were enough good to eat at the moment but the next day we had big problems with the digestion and we had diarrea. There were nobody eating there when we went, they said because it was monday, but I didn't agree, it was the 22th of august and the city of Menaggio was crowdy. Trhee waiters serving our table doing things sometimes simultaneusly. We felt like we were under surveillance. One of them was very kind and explaining us the menu, another one was the opposite of comfortable, provoking us with questions like we did something wrong. We paid 45 euro eating two pizza of 12 euro each a half bottle of water and a Pigato 35cl wine of 15 euro!
Ok Lido with pool (bath caps!)
But mind the drinks prices! Small beer with lemonade (Radler) 5 Eur, Coca Cola 4 Eur and the famous coperto charge is 2 Eur for using a plain table.
There is no drinks prize list available (probably because otherwise people would think twice;-)
Stunning locationBeautiful
