  A sacred place where spiritual serenity reigns. A must go for all devotees of St. Francis of Assisi. Here at La Verna he received the stigmata of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
  A beautiful place with various natural parks, mountains and fantastic views. Here one can understand better the feelings that St. Francis had for the environment and also the canticle PRAISE BE TO YOU, MY LORD - LAUDATO SI', MI' SIGNORE.

  Such an oasis! It's so beautiful and tranquil. As a location, it's a wonderful place to visit and see the views and the religious art and buildings. When you know the history and its association with St Francis, it becomes an even more spectacular place to visit.

  This is a beautiful place!!!! It has such rich tradition with Saint Francis where he prayed and received the stigmata. It is here or near here that Saint Bonaventure wrote the Journey into God.

  I personally liked the Sanctuary, even though its massive structure feels a little sovietic in parts. The visit to the small chapels and the frescoed alley is interesting, as is the view over the valley.
