We arrived in an anxious state as the drive up the curving road is challenging. The man at reception (probably the owner) was the only cold person we encountered in Sicily. It wasn't until my husband stopped and said his bag was hard to drag down the many stone steps that he helped. The room was tacky and run down. Opening the door with the key was tricky. I was never able to do it. Furnishings felt cheap. Site says free breakfast but we would have been charged if we'd eaten.
Guy recommended a restaurant that was closed on mondays and that's when we were there. Setting is attractive but that wasn't enough. We were eager to leave. Hospitality was lacking and that's unusual in Sicily.response / report this review -
