This year a curated exhibition of Arsenale was by my view didicated to the ritual as spiritual sense or even as value shifting of the work. As a bricolage imaginery had somewhat thrilling moments.

As the New York times described it, the Biennale is the biggest contemporary art expo in the world. The Arsenale is also interesting as building.

The Biennale of Venice... of course it’s worth the visit! It’s world famous!

2017 - The 2017 Biennale was superb. Amazing artworks in an amazing venue. Perfectly curated with information for all artworks / themes within the rooms. There is also plenty of people to ask more questions to slog the way. It took me about 4 hours reading everything from start to finish. Price is 25€ for a standard ticket but this includes the Arsenale and Garden.

A little put off that this has become a modern art gallery. Wanted to see the old shipyards. Wasn't all that impressed.

My first visit and I was overwhelmed with how great this was. So many brilliant art installations and challenging work. The variety of mediums made it very interesting, to see video, fabric, paint, wood, ceramic etc. It was an experience to pass through the rooms and just soak up the work. There is a lot to see so I would suggest 2 days at each site. Food - the Arsenale cafe was very good, Giardini cafe mediocre.

Wether if you are an artist or just barely interested in art, there will be something for you at the Biennale (Arsenalle). Unfortunately for us we only had one day and it was just not enough to see everything.

Try to time it for the whole loop of the New Zealand exhibition moving picture wall. Amazing! Too many others to list. Plan 3-4 hours if you want to see everything, some films may extend the time as one is at least 30mins.

Even if you don't know anything about contemporary art, just go for the amazing building ! And stay for the art, even if you just walk through ! Amazing experience

An amusement park for your eyes an your soul in a breathtaking area in a magic city. Even if you are not into arts you shouldn't miss this, possibly avoiding July or August.

The art exhibition "Viva Arte Viva" in the "Arsenale" was confusing at times but definitely worth a visit. A lot of variety in a lot of different buildings (art installations from different countries). The exit may be a little hard to find, though don't be worried when it looks like a backstage studio alley, you're going the right way. It forks off to the left at the end and you'll soon find yourself back at the entrance. I gave the Biennale 4 stars for the simple reason that the exit really isn't obvious. I would have preferred a large sign with an arrow pointing to the exit.
Also worth mentioning is that it might feel a bit overwhelming, as there is quite a lot to see, but nonetheless the visit isn't tiring at all.
As for the duration: if you decide to look at everything there is to see, it'll take you about 2-2½ hours.

The Arsenale in itself is very a very interesting structure an can only be visited during biennale. The quality of the architectural biennale exhibition pieces varies, but as always there are some really stand out contributions to see.

This year's Biennale has a particularity with the opening and main pavilions, a true sense of understanding of social architecture, it is a great space with really interesting projects to make you think for a while.

Consider a day for each place, if you have to choose between Giardini and Arsenale, I would go for Giardini and visit first the main central pavilion.

Really amazing exhibits revolving around this year's theme of architecture. Thought provoking ideas on how to solutions for infrastructure challenges in different parts of the world. One of the most worthwhile experiences that I had during my stay in Venezia.
