  We stayed there in 2011. Very nice not big family run hotel in a picturesqe place of Ischia. Definitely worth staying (for those who likes simplicity and can not spend a lot of money). The hosts are wonderful and very helpful.
  As for the air conditioning, the hotel does not use this due to its sustainability policy. To tell the truth the ceiling fans are quite enough.

  Picturesque hotel / Malerisches Hotel / with absolute professional and extremely friendly staff. We had a spacious family apartement with 10 Steps to the pool and enjoyed a wonderful view over the blue mediteranian sea for more than one week. Especially the recommendations for our day trips proved always to be perfect (thermal spa, beaches, gardens, icecream shops). Our three children could not have been happier. There was even a garage for the hired car (without extra fee). We really enjoyed every minute there. Any time again.
  Malerisches Hotel mit absolut profesionellen und extrem freundlichen Personal. Wir hatten für mehr als eine Woche ein geräumiges Familien-Apartement (einfach ausgestattet, aber sauber und vollkommen intakt), das wir für dieses Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nirgendwo auf der Insel bekommen hätten. 10 Stufen vom Pool entfernt mit einem wunderbaren Blick über das blaue Mittelmeer. Besonders die Empfehlungen für unsere Tagesausflüge waren goldrichtig (Thermalquellen, Strände, Gärten, die besten Eisläden). Unsere drei Kinder hätten nicht glücklicher sein können. Sogar eine Garage für unseren Mietwagen war kein Problem (kostenfrei). Wir haben jede Minute genossen. Jederzeit wieder.

  I wouldn't recommend this "hotel" to anybody. It's extremely overpriced and dirty. We booked a double room for 80 euros, but for some reason we ended up in a 3 bed "appartment" which was just DISGUSTING. Mould on the walls, very cheap plastic furniture, a lot of dust all over, NO AIR CONDITIONING. Our bathroom looked just revolting. A lot of dirt in the toilet, the shower was extremely dirty and RUSTY, a few pipes in the bathroom were dripping, the mirror was cracked, with some rusty spots all over, and the smell.
  The staff was not very helpful. Even though we've paid a full price, we were refused a breakfast.
  Defintetly the worst hotel I've ever been to.
