So glad this place was recommended to us. Fun atmosphere with a really wonderful staff. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the antipasto, to the rabbit gnocchi, to the cream puff dessert. The house wine is delicious. You can easily spend several hours eating and drinking delightful Tuscan food and wine, for a reasonable price.

So it isn't on the menu, but my friend read about it and they offer a dinner menu where for 55 euro a person you get three different kinds of appetizers, three different pastas, three meats and a dessert. All our food was fantastic, the rabbit and gnocci was far far the best and totally amazing. The veal and pork were quite average and dry in our opinion but overall a very good dining experience.

Come hungry!!! Is this fine Italian dining? No. But you will have delicious home cooking in a really fun, jovial atmosphere with great staff and definitely make some new friends. The tasting menu is non-negotiable and will give you a wide selection of dishes as well as all you can drink. We were here for 3 really lovely hours. Overall a great experience and fun night.

When we arrived all the tables were full but we were asked to wait and help ourselves to free wine and cheese - happy days 😇
Our wait was only about 10 minutes or so and were shown to our table by the happiest man in the whole of Italy.
The steak was a great choice and the wine was OK too.
Had I not experienced any other eating places prior I'd have said it was a great little find but for me personally I think there were a couple of other places which 'just' and I mean 'just' pipped it.response / report this review -

My husband and I diverted from our tour and found this hidden treasure. We tasted cheese and sipped on wine. It was such a wonderful atmosphere and we enjoyed the service. Their house wine is incredible. We took purchased 6 bottles. We recommend the red house wine.

Excellent. Food outstanding, service excellent despite the crowd, without reservations we were seated guickly. The Il Latini lived up to it's very formidble reputation. Certainly will return.

This was a true hidden gem when I was in Florence. Not a tourist spot geared to the US patron, which was perfect for me. Locals love this place and we were treated to a true communal seating with a loud and fun crowd. The owner made several appearances and even treated us to a bottle of his favorite dessert wine. The courses were wonderful, spaced thoughtfully and such a value as well. If your idea of Florence is Harry's Bar, probably not your cup of tea. But if you want fine food with a glimpse of true local flair, this place delivers.

Great place. But I can totally understand the mixed reviews and frustrations when you go here in peak season / peak times. Not geared up for mass scale Mcdonalds service. So avoid the peak times.
