Fantastic Hotel in a beautiful setting high on a hill with stunning views of the country from the upper suite. Very clean. Lovely host that helped me find a park close to hotel in the narrow cobbled streets. Our host also helped with some paperwork printing. Hard to one up this old renovated Hotel.

Last month, my sister and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful little hotel in Erice. The staff were extremely accommodating, and the property was very inviting and most artistically appointed. Lovely breakfasts, too!

Un piccolo hotel dove la qualità del servizio, la disponibilità dei titolari del personale ti fanno sentire a casa. Il posto ideale per un soggiorno ad Erice. Buonissime le torte della colazione fatte dalla titolare.

In January and February, one has Western Sicily in general -- and Erice in particular -- all to oneself. Hauntingly so, almost to the point of disconcerting (I've fallen on this pavement and I can't get up).

This hotel was a challenge to find - but then again: all of Erice is conceptually difficult to navigate upon arrival. And the fact that the compact car (with its narrow turning radius) still had to be guided around preposterously tight medieval streets -- well that was all part of the charm, right?

hotel was welcoming and cozy -- as cozy as you can get when, because of the escarpment-top location, the howling wind rattles the modern windows in their frames ever so slightly.

chilly: but bundle up and fun. lovely host & proprietor. it's a sleepy little town and yet it's inescapably a 'my friends won't be able to comprehend this unless they visit' kind of place.

if my numerical ratings seem low it's simply because it's a rustic hotel/inn, not like city center grand traditions in Venice, Rome, Milan and Florence.
