Awful restaurant, they sat us and when we only ordered wine - they asked us to go because apparently they only serve those who order food. And that's when 90% of the tables were free! No signs about it neither! I think it's a tourist trap with high prices as everything else here in Cinque Terre

Bad service, unregarded until a table was ready. Staff were unfriendly and on their own phones checking Facebook and ignoring patient customers.

Food was decent at the restaurant but servers were terribly unfriendly and unhelpful. They didn't greet us as we said hello, talked to us abruptly, and made us pay the bill inside the hotel while other diners had the bill brought to the table. Not a very pleasant experience, maybe it was a bad day for them.

After a long morning of visit, we ended at the restaurant of Marina Piccola, in front of the harbor, late.
Even with exhausted staff, the welcome was warm and the service nice.
Good food and good wine in front of the see.

this was home base for the hubs and i on our first trip to cinque terre. it was definitely a bit of a splurge but so worth it for the spotless, newly renovated, modern, yet cozy room we were put up in. the almost street-level view out the window makes you feel like a local, taking in the daily hustle and bustle of manarola, and the hearty breakfast downstairs makes you feel right at home. there was an unlimited supply of local jams and nutella, accompanied by great coffee, fruits, pastries, cheeses, ham, and eggs made however you'd like. not much english is spoken, so you'll have to sign-language your egg request, and you might not always get what you order, but it's all part of the italian riviera experience.

downsides included a pretty firm bed-- not the most comfortable thing in the world, but after 2 flights and 2 train rides, we were good with anything. we're also pretty good at sleeping anywhere and everywhere, but if you're picky about mattresses, it could be an issue. if i remember correctly, the bed was actually 2 twin size beds pushed together, but apparently this is fairly common for hotels in italy. the other thing was the internet, which was advertised as free wifi. this was somewhat misleading because although there was internet available, it was the slowest thing on earth it might be faster to send a telegram or something because a simple message in gmail (with no attachments) took an hour to send. but really, aside from the slight inconvenience in not being able to use wifi to do trip planning, it didn't make too much of a difference. most people go to cinque terre to get away from it all, so not a big deal if the wifi sucks.

the hospitality is spectacular, and our late check in time was graciously accommodated. upon check out, our bags were stored and locked in a closet so we could freely explore some of the other towns before we had to take off.

hotel marina piccola is in such an ideal location, right next to the harbor and the walkway leading to the most famous vantage point. the train station is also less than 5 min away and the town is so tiny, it's near impossible to get lost in. this was one of our favorite stays during our entire adventure across italy, and we can't wait to come back!

In the perfect place if you are wishing to stay in Cinque Terre village of Manarola. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is nice and small no lift in this hotel so be prepared to carry your bags up lots of stairs.
The morning breakfast is cooked fresh by the staff and is just beautiful they had the best granola I have ever eaten and you can order your eggs a different way each morning - Poached - Fried or scrambled.
Wi-fi was good throughout the whole hotel you just need the two log ons one for in the foyer and one for your room.
Bed is large and comfortable open rack as a wardrobe at the end of our bed not much room for our suitcases.
The hotel is quite close to some great restaurants.

Fairly short-notice booking, so not a room with a balcony, but still with a good sea view. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed and, I assume, fairly recently renovated. Great staff and a friendly hotel dog (Tula) in the mornings! Excellent location right by the harbour and reasonably priced.

Small boutique hotel at the heart of the bay. Choose top floor room with balcony has a nice view. Steep stairs with no lift, travel light😜.

We ate at the restaurant wich is right on the bridge. The food was great and service was good also. We ordered many different dishes but everything was really delicious.
